Hello travelers! We are Andres and Blanca from Costa Rica and Barcelona. We have traveled for a while to find a beautiful place here in Dos Amates, near Catemaco (State of Veracruz). It is an incredible area, surrounded by green, waterfalls and birds.
We have a land of 1000 square meters, a house and a bamboo hut to host workaways and 2 more cabins for rent.
We both have experience in workaway (Andrés as a host and Blanca as a volunteer) and we have had incredible experiences with workaways around the world. We have met amazing friends and... we even met each other by workaway!!
We have been working with workaways for a long time now, and we are so happy with all the experiences and help we received! Please keep reading to know what kind of help we are needing now.
- We need help with social media
- We need to keep the garden clean (be ready to use your hands and a machete!)
- We need help cleaning our house and cabins
- We need help with the kids
- Do you have artist skills? Are you creative? There are lots of empty spots in our land that need a magical touch!
- If you have specific skills, I am sure they will be useful.
Please be ready to do different kind of jobs!
We are now asking for only 3 HOURS OF WORK / 5 DAYS A WEEK.
We are not providing any meal.
We want nice people, with good energy and willing to enjoy time with us and in the area.
Here it is beautiful, with many waterfalls, birds, 40 min from the beach, lakes... If you like nature, if you like sharing, if you like the sense of a small community, ... this is your place !

Hola viajer@s! Somos Andrés y Blanca de Costa Rica y Barcelona. Hemos viajado por un tiempo hasta encontrar un lugar hermoso aquí en Dos Amates, cerca de Catemaco (Estado de Veracruz). Es una zona increíble, rodeada de verde, cascadas y pájaros.
Tenemos un terreno de 1000metros cuadrados, una casa y una cabaña de bambú para hospedar workaways, y dos cabañas que rentamos al turismo.
Ambos tenemos experiencia en workaway (Andrés como anfitrión y Blanca como voluntaria) y hemos tenido experiencias increíbles con workaways de todo el mundo. Hemos hecho amigos que son parte de nuestra familia y... de hecho Andrés y yo nos conocimos a través de Workaway! Así que estamos eternamente agradecidos por todo lo que nos ha aportado.
Sigue leyendo para saber qué tipo de ayuda estamos necesitando ahora:
- Hay que mantener limpio el jardín, sembrar plantas (vas a usar las manos y el machete!)
- Ocupamos ayuda en limpieza de la casa y las cabañas
- Ayuda recibiendo huéspedes
- Ayuda cuidando nuestros lindos hijos
- Tienes habilidades artísticas? Eres creativ@? Hay varios lugares en el terreno donde puedes dejar volar tu imaginación!
- Si tienes alguna habilidad específica, seguro que nos será de ayuda
También requerimos ayuda en trabajos algo más pesados:
- En los siguientes meses vamos a remodelar una casa: vamos a tirar unas paredes y pintar otras.
- Tenemos un terreno nuevo que necesita mucho trabajo: hay que sacar raíces y sembrar plantas.
En cualquier caso, estén preparados para hacer diferentes trabajos!
Pedimos 3 HORAS DE TRABAJO / 5 DÍAS A LA SEMANA.
No ofrecemos ninguna comida.
Queremos a gente linda, con buena energía y con ganas de disfrutar con nosotros y explorar esta hermosa zona.
Aquí es bellísimo, rodeado de cascadas, pájaros, a 40 min de la playa, hay lagunas alrededor... Si te gusta la naturaleza, te gusta compartir y ser parte de nuestra pequeña familia... este es tu lugar!

The place is amazing, it gives you the opportunity to know the authentic Mexico in this community. The people here will be happy to share stories. There are waterfalls, beach, natural pools, birds, the lagoon of Catemaco (you can rent a boat and visit the island of the monkeys).
El lugar es increíble, te da la oportunidad de conocer El México auténtico en esta comunidad. La gente de aquí estará encantada de compartir historias. Hay cascadas, playa, pozas, aves, la laguna de Catemaco (se puede alquilar una lancha y visitar la isla de los monos).

We are asking for 3 hours of work, 5 days a week, in exchange of a beautiful bamboo cabin.

Ofrecemos una linda cabaña de bambú con cama matrimonial, una cocina abierta (con estufa, horno de leña, y utensilios básicos), y mucho espacio en el jardín para descansar o para lo que sea!
What else ...
We are in the community of Dos Amates, 15 minutes from Catemaco. (10 hours of CDMX). From Catemaco there are private taxis for about 80 pesos, or collective / pirates for 15 pesos per person. They leave daily and with schedule amplitude.
Estamos en la comunidad de Dos amates, a 15 minutos de Catemaco. (10 horas de CDMX). Desde Catemaco hay taxis privados por unos 150 pesos, o colectivos/piratas por 20 pesos por persona. Salen diariamente y con amplitud de horarios.
