Description
Am Regina a passionate lady. About my project, I started supporting the vulnerable when I was a young girl up to now I'm stil supporting in different districts of Malawi. My vision is to improve the lives of the less privileged women and girls. So I ve been supporting the Older people, people with albinism , students by giving them scholarships and many more activities.
I started supporting/ helping the needy when I was working as a teacher. I find myself no peace when I saw the students coming to school without shoes, uniform, and even they bath without soap. The news sent reactions of anger and sadness down my spine.
so took the role of buying groceries, clothes for them in order to suit the environment. My vision grew when I reach many vulnerable people including men and women, people living with albinism ( these people need special care and support so I used to buy clothes, sunglasses, sunhearts and even they have special soap they use when taking a bath) I tried to reach up with those items in many places here in Malawi like Zomba , Blantyre , Chikwawa and Thyolo districts. I'm also passionate about taking care the elderly people. I found that many elderly people don't have children that can support them . Through my field excursion I found that when they up they need to stay at good place but because they can't have support they found to sleep without blankets, mattress , no shelter , no food. With my little money I get. I tried to buy them food, blankets for them. There are many rural areas in my Organization which I visited and support the needy.
Some of the students Reflecting Foundation is paying school fees , buying sanitary pads for girls, buying school bags and uniform at Lieburg Christian Secondary School . Lieburg Christian Secondary School is a boarding and day Secondary School in Blantyre , Malawi.

Blantyre hosts a number of cultures in Malawi If we are to host visiting partners from overseas they will enjoy the senary of mountains strategically positioned surrounding the city. Soche, Michiru, Sanjika, Ndirande, Mtathawira where it is mentioned that John Chilembwe escaped the city after hiding in this tall and sharp pointed hill. The City also hosts Game Haven where good accommodations in chalets and meals are provided while customers enjoy watching different animals moving around. The guests will also have time to do fishing at the dam that is there.
They will for sure get entertained by the traditional dance like the gule wamkulu in Chileka area as well as T/A Somba of Mpemba Chazunda Chikwawa road.
The will appreciate the scenic beauty of the Kamuvu view which will give them the scenic beauty of Chikwawa escapements with beautiful meandering of the Shire River heading to the to the Zambezi river.
A visit to Blantyre will equally make them appreciate the maginiscent 135 years plus St. Michael & All Angels Church which is the first of its kind in the world and was built without any foundations. At St. Michael is also where the government of Malawi started. This place is so historic as the first British Governor of Malawi had his office here which is still intact.
Blantyre also has the Mbame tree along the Chikwawa Road where Dr. David Livingstone rested when he visited Malawi. The tree has got very interest apperances as it is not growing. It is less than 5 meters toll but yet it has lived for over 100 years.
Coming to Blantyre will also provide them with the whole history of Malawi as they shall have to walk into the Mandala Lacava National antiquities where Rev. John Chilembwe went to still some guns with his team.
In Blantyre they will enjoy nsima served with therere or Malawi’s best Chambo fish harvested from Lake Malawi. Blantyre is surrounded by different tribes, Yao, Lomwe, Mang’anja and Tumbukas from the North with rich cultures and traditional dances like Gulewamkulu for the Chewas, Ben for the Yao, Jiri and Chopa for the Lomwe, mganda among others.
They will also be provided with an opportunity to appreciate one of Africa’s tallest mountain Mulanje Mountain.Projects involving children

Help
Volunteers play an essential role in helping to teach these disabled children, as unfortunately the school is severely understaffed and underfunded and in urgent need of additional help. Volunteers will help greatly on day to day care for the children, including feeding and attending to their daily needs.
Facilitating on girls education projects, sexual reproductive healthy rights. Facilitating on gender based violence projects among women and girls.
Hence the projects concerned
They will also help greatly by simply spending time with the children – giving them one on one attention – something the children greatly appreciate. Reading to, playing with and socializing with the children would be time extremely well spent with these amazing children
Volunteers will contribute in a number of ways on this program and can expect to undertake the following tasks:
Help to teach disabled children
Attend to and interact with disabled children.
Create activities and entertain the children with games and songs, etc
Spend time socializing with the children and boosting their confidence
Helping with other activities as skills allow at the center – from admin to maintenance.
Volunteers wil help our organization in fundraising activities to buy soap, brankets, clothes, Shelters of the elders.

Most volunteers opt for our homestay accommodation option, where you , be hosted by the Executive Director in their family home. This is a great opportunity to experience the unique culture of Malawi and to interact and make friends with a local family. You will have your own room and private space for sleeping or relaxing in the evenings.
We will do our best to ensure that you are comfortable and well looked after during your stay.
Your food will be prepared by the family and you will receive 3 meals a day. The food mainly consists of tea/coffee and some bread/cake/porridge or potatoes, Chips, for breakfast.
For lunch and dinner we generally
eat rice or nsima (a local dish made from maize flour) with some vegetables, beans, meat or fish.
Sometimes, fruit or salad will also be served. This is the staple food here and we hope you learn to love.
Volunteers will also be able to help their host family with preparing the food and even cook a dish
from their own country if they wish.
Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements before arriving - Vegetarian, vegan and other diets can be catered for. If volunteers require any other snacks beside the three main meals these can easily be purchased in the local market or a nearby supermarket.
