    Description

    I am a young lady whose passion is to help girls and to empower young women in a community, founder and executive director of a local non governmental organization which aim to improve the life of standards of people and to reduce poverty among women, girls and children in Malawi.

    Advocate to end child marriage recognized by AU and Unicef, the organization has been implemented several projects e.g child sponsorship program which helps children education by providing them with school fees and school materials to vulnerable children, women economic justice for all in women working in informal sector, women speak out project to fight against gender based violence among women and girls, keep girls in school for more educated girls and many more, the organization also provide and facilitating business trainings and sexual reproduction health rights among girls.

    Blantyre is located close to mulanje mountain where you can go for hiking and relax in your free time, mulanje mountain also has some attractive places which most of the visitors go e.g dziwe la khalamba, sapitwa pick .

    Will help me in the following areas.
    1. Proposal development and creation of organization website.
    2. Facilitating on girls education projects, sexual reproductive healthy rights.
    3. Facilitating on gender based violence projects among women and girls.
    4. Hence the projects concerned children we need a volunteer to work with us as child protection officer and also capability to work on youth development projects.
    5. Should help the organization in fundraising campaign and project implementation

    Volunteers will be hosted by the executive director in their family home.
    This is a great opportunity to experience the unique culture of malawi and to interact and make friends with local family. You will have your own room and private space for sleeping or relaxing, the house is self contained. We will do our best to ensure that your comfortable and well looked after during your stay.

    We have a house with three rooms, its a fenced and security is tight, we have nice vegetation and its easy access to town.

    Food (breakfast, lunch and dinner ) is prepared by the family from monday to sunday at the hospital house, the breakfast includes tea/coffee, white bread, chips, rice porridge and cake for breakfast, for lunch and dinner we generally eat a local dish made from maize flour with some vegetables,beans , meat or fish ( we have chambo fish from lake Malawi) sometimes fruits or salad will also be served. This is a staple food and hope you will learn to love l.

    No charge any fee for the volunteers.

    For those who wish to explore another part of Malawi you can visit mangochi and go for swimming, you can also visit liwonde national park and majete game reserve.
    Alternatively you can stay in Blantyre where you can experience village life and culture, enjoy Malawian music, dance and learn some traditional cooking, We have all types of culture in Blantyre.
    Volunteers must arrange extra activities themselves and cover the cost of travel, food and accommodation.
    Also volunteers if interested we can go for photo trip around and you will always find something new and different to explore.
