    Description

My partner and I live in an old stone house that is located in the Bolognese Apennines and is in the middle of the woods. We have two dogs, a rough-coated dachshund and a mestizo (a mix of dachshund and bassett de bretagne) and two very independent tiger cats.
I take care of the management of apartments for tourist use, I often work on the computer from home but 2/3 days a week I'm in Bologna. My partner works in the health sector but is often at home where he takes care of the garden, making wood and all the necessary jobs in a country house.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Especially in the summer months we often have during the weekends groups of friends who visit us for a barbecue together. These are good opportunities to socialize and learn about different lifestyles. With my partner you can learn how to cut wood and lawn and any technical activity, he is a very good 'handyman'. If you want to learn how to cook instead, you can help me in the kitchen, everyone says I am a good cook. My partner speaks English, German and Italian. I, on the other hand, speak Italian, English and a little Spanish. If you want to learn Italian, it is a very good opportunity.

my partner often chops wood in the woods for stoves or cuts grass in the garden and would need help. Sometimes we are all and at work in Bologna and need someone to take care of the two dogs. We mainly need skills in gardening and pet care.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

The workawayer has a spacious room (a double bed, a sofa, a table desk) just for him and a bathroom. In summer he also has an outdoor kitchen at his disposal.

As an Italian, I grew up considering food not an element to feed but for the pleasure of tasting it. I like to cook and every day I make something tasty. My partner, who is German, says it's like going to a restaurant every day. Only in the morning, for breakfast, everyone eats what they prefer, yogurt, cereals, biscuits, bread, butter and jam or even eggs (the fridge and pantry are always well stocked), for lunch and dinner there are always tasty dishes, pasta with meat sauce or with vegetables, meatballs, mixed salads, baked vegetables, roasts etc... In short, good food is never lacking!
