    Description

My husband and I live in the city of Seattle, Washington.
We have two HIGH energy dogs. Like, fly over the couch chase balls all day kind of dogs. One is a German shorthair pointer, one is a vizsla. They are definitely high energy, and one (mostly) is still working on manners. They love to run and go to the dog park.
We also have a yard with a garden, a section of native plants, and an outdoor sitting area and grill.
We are within walking or biking distance to Puget Sound, a rocky beach area, the Fauntleroy ferry, multiple bus stops, coffee, grocery and shopping.
It is possible to take public transit to some hiking areas in the summer, and definitely around the city and suburbs.
We have a small furnished guest bedroom for your use, and use of the rest of our house (kitchen, living room, laundry) and yard. The bathroom is shared.

We live in an active area of the city with public transit or walking/biking access to surrounding areas where there are museums, parks, etc. You’ll have a lot of free time to explore or relax. We would not need help on the weekends.

I (Nikki) will be traveling for two months and need someone to mostly help with the dogs on weekdays. They will need exercise and bathroom breaks.
This could be playing outside with them, walking/running with them (one at a time probably)or possibly taking them to the dog park which is about 1.5 miles away.
They are very sweet (vizsla and German shorthair pointer, both younger females) but very high energy so you probably would need to REALLY like dogs to hang out with them.🤦🏻‍♀️

In exchange for lodging, we ask that you spend 2 hours a day in some combination of walking, hiking, playing with them, or monitoring outside time. They also can’t be completely left unsupervised outside or they will disturb the neighbors. They like to bark. They will need a bathroom break again later in the afternoon, but can go for several hours without.
On weekends, my husband can do all of their care.

    Possibly light plant care.

Something you’d need to know, is my husband Mike will also be staying here. He is respectful and generally keeps to himself, but this is something you’d want to make sure you are comfortable with!
