    Description

We are an international couple, with a daughter artist traveling the world and 2 kids studying in Amsterdam. We also love to travel, do home exchanges or just roam around in our old camper.

We have a nice house near the beach The beach is very calm all year round except summer-time. It is on the border with Portugal and is where the Guadiana River finds the sea.

Beautiful sunsets, nice place for watersports, good food, Andalucian lifestyle.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Ayamonte is a multi cultural enclave in the Spanish Algarve. We are a very open family who love arts (classic and modern).

As a Workawayer staying with us, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our local culture and way of life. You’ll gain firsthand experience of cultural aspects and we’ll be happy to share stories, traditions, and insights about our community.

In addition to cultural exchange, you’ll have the chance to learn new skills. We encourage open communication and are always happy to teach and learn from each other. This experience is not just about helping out but also about building meaningful connections and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We believe in fostering a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel at home while exploring and learning about our culture. Whether it’s through shared meals, conversations, or working together on projects, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of our way of life and hopefully some new skills and friendships to take with you.

    Accommodation

We have a nice big house with garden, you will have a private bedroom and share bathroom. The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

As a Workawayer staying with us, you can expect to help for up to 25 hours a week, with two full days off to relax, explore, or pursue your own interests. In exchange, we provide three meals a day. Shared meals are a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a cultural exchange, as we can cook and eat together, sharing recipes, stories, and traditions from our respective cultures.

When shared meals aren’t possible, we’ll provide ingredients or a stipend so you can prepare your own meals. This flexibility ensures you’ll always have access to nourishing food while also giving you the chance to experiment with local ingredients or share your own culinary traditions with us.

We believe that food is a universal language, and whether we’re cooking together or sharing tips and recipes, it’s a great way to connect and learn from one another. This exchange is about more than just work—it’s about building connections, learning new skills, and creating lasting memories.
