We are travellers ourselves with a wide range of skills and experience. You'll learn about filmmaking, tramping, caring for animals, permaculture, gardening and floristry. You can help us prep flowers for our local community market. Attend seasonal events or join us for a beach or bush walk. We also encourage guests to climb our local hills and mountains or visit the cafes.

    Accommodation

We're offering a beautifully restored vintage caravan with ocean views or a great space to park your own accomodation. Our shared family amenities: bathroom, shower, laundry, kitchen, fire pit are just a few metres away. We're great vegan cooks, so you are too while you're here. Our systems are self-contained and composting so plant based eco products only, please (shampoo, sunscreen, etc.). That keeps our worms alive and happy.

    What else ...

Waikanae is a small suburb on the Kapiti Coast North of Wellington. We're close to the train, beach and Tararua Forest Park. Great access to local hiking trails: Hemi Matenga, Kapakapanui, Waikanae river track & Mangone bush walk.
Happy to pickup and drop off guests to these spots, any of the great local cafes, or the train to Wellington.
