I had a fantastic time with Marie-Josée and the girls! Excellent conversations and good food! The views and animals were amazing, and I learned a lot. Working in the garden and with animals was very grounding and satisfying. One of the reasons to come here was to get a taste of a more self-sufficient lifestyle, I certainly got that! I was sorry to

Marie and the Girls are absolutely fantastic.
I stayed for approximately a month and they were very gracious. Marie is a strong, independent, creative Mother & Leader who is moving towards some absolutely fantastic Big Ideas.
The Girls are all unique individuals with authentic personalities and are amazingly kind to guests.
The Food was

Alongside traditional farm chores like Hay, Firewood, Feeding, Organizing, Watering and Cleaning coops and barns; Marie also taught Me how to make cheese, milk goats and inspired Me towards My own dreams.

I spent 2 weeks at Marie and the girls’s farm. It was mostly farm works, animal care and gardening. Marie was careful about selecting various tasks every day.
I did some fixing works such as fixing fences, doors, animal shelters, and some raking hays. I helped with the feeding daily routine and get the chicken eggs. I had no previous experience
… read more with farm animals which was great. Two goats gave birth to 4 baby goats during my stay! They also had baby sheeps and chickens.
I did gardening works as well (seeding squashes, carrots, beets, parnships for example, planting flowers, transplanting herbs, weeding, mulching, covering the soil, watering occasionally). I cleaned and converted a tool shed. I built a platform for water barrels . There are plenty of jobs available!
I lived in a small caravan with no electricity, I had a few led lights and a vue to the forest, which is very ideal for wildlife spotting :)
As marie do home schooling on mornings, I was autonomous in my tasks and totally fine with it.
We shared every day meals together, it was emotionally intense and noisy sometimes but it was also why I wouldn’t change anything. Most of the time Marie was in charge of cooking and the girls of baking biscuits some days. It was simple but healthy and organic food, what I was very content with.
We did a couple of craft nights, I learned about needle felting which I really like. The girls are really good at many craft arts so there are tones of crafting night possibilities for whoever would be interested. I am very happy to have had this opportunity to share a bit of a farm life with this lovely family.
I would definitely recommend, for people interested in farm works and gardening, dedicated countless hours, keen to live a simple life in the nature, with the desire of sharing a bit of family life too.
Marie is a powerful woman who works a lot, with strong values, and beautiful projects to emerge. Eloïse, Adèle, Rosalie and Cloé are very sociable and kind, we had a lot of fun.
I had a great stay. Thank you for having me!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

It was a unique experience for us especially for kids. Everybody loved the kind and beautiful girls. The animals were also amazing. The trailer was a bit cold at nights but that was a different experience as well. Overall, Thank you Mary for the experience.
