My name is Marie, I recently relocated to this beautiful part of Ireland to follow my dream which is to create a magical healing retreat. I lived in Jersey the Channel Islands another beautiful part of the world for nearly thirty years, but my heart was calling me home for the past few years. I have settled well into west cork which I love. I was a qualified nurse for many years until some life changing events happened which encouraged me to look into many holistic practices. I qualified in Reiki ( usi) energy healing, reflexology, diploma in crystal healing and some knowledge in natural herb medicine. My main passion is guided meditation healing and sharing my experience and knowledge that I have gained a long the way helping to heal our unhappy stories in order to create our happier stories and dreams💖

You will be staying in a very beautiful scenic peaceful and tranquil part of Ireland surrounded by lots of cultural events, such as music and film festivals , art and poetry exhibitions and historic sights. You will also benefit in health and wellbeing from working so close to nature in a very pure, clean and unspoilt part of Ireland. Will gain a good knowledge of the English language as well as experience the warm and open hearted friendliness that the Irish people has to offer.
I am in the process of creating a magical retreat (a place of healing and wellbeing) on the south west coast of Ireland. I would appreciate help from someone who has a good understanding of the land on an energetic as well as a physical level. I have 1 and a half acres in total with some rough ground that needs sorting out. I would like someone who is willing and capable of offering creative ideas with what to do with the land, as well as being physically strong in order to help with some heavy work such as creating pathways and steps in some areas. I will also need help with regular maintenance of the land such as grass cutting , hedge cutting and weeding.
A self contained traditional stone cottage. It has a large high ceiling room which creates a lovely ambiance. The cottage also houses a good size fridge, small oven/hob together with a table and chairs and a very comfortable king size bed. It has a seperate bathroom with large powerful shower. I have recently placed a lovely wood burner stove in fireplace which makes the room very cosy for the winter😊
The nearest village is called Ballydehob which is 10 minutes by car, an hours walk or 20 to 30 minutes cycle ride. There are some restaurants, cafes and a lovely health shop together with a supermarket attached to petrol station. Even though a small village it is well know for its music festivals especially in the summer months. There is a great community spirit that holds regular charity and other events. There are regular yoga classes as well as other well being therapies provided. The nearest town is called Skibbereen which is 15 minutes by car. There are many interesting clothes and craft shops, a library as well as a very unique book shop. Skibereen has the usual large supermarkets as well as lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. There is the well known Uillinn west cork arts centre in the hub of the town that holds many art exhibitions as well as various other events and there is also a heritage centre. Skibereen is well known for its Saturday morning market as it is very vibrant and offers an abundance of locally grown produce as well as hand made crafts etc. Bantry is another lovely nearby town which is roughly 25 minutes away. It has a wonderful cafe called Organico which offers a great vegetarian menu and also has one of the best health shops attached in my experience. The town also has many lovely restaurants and cafes to offer as well as lots of cultural events. Schull is another vibrant village in the Mizen Head Peninsular which is only a 20 minutes drive and is dominated by Mount Gabriel towering to 407 metres in hight. It has a lovely sheltered boat harbour which holds boating events in the summertime.
