I am Lucas, 27, from Brazil. I have been raised in Recreio dos Bandeirantes in the city of Rio, surfing and teaching surf most of my life. After graduating from university, i have traveled and lived in Canada, Australia and France, studying working and volunteering. Now i am finally settling in Rio and opening a new hostel, trying to fill it up with surfing vibes, arts and music.
The team is constituted by me, the manager. The owner, who runs the business and 1 housekeeper. Because we just opened the business, we are searching for people that could help in the development of the SurfCamp, such as social media, help receiveing new guests, or cleaning and general maintenence.

We are situated only 5 minutes from the best surfing spot in Rio for begginers, Praia da Macumba, we have surfing lessons which our volunteers will be able to enrol together with the costumers for half price. You will be in daily contact with brazilian local people, and learn more about the culture and the portuguese language. We are really into music so we hold music jam sessions.
We just opened up our Surf Hostel in Rio de Janeiro and we are looking for volunteers who can help us to develop the place, paiting walls, decorating and also help receptioning our guests and social media. Manly creating an energetic friendly surf hostel vibe is what we need. Or, if you can help making beds and cleaning the hostel, you are also welcome.

You will be able to stay in a shared room with other volunteers. Our fully equiped house provides kitchen and the facilities for the volunteers daily basis.
Our hostel is situated in Praia da Macumba, 300 meters from the sea. Around here you have a full bunch of exciting things to do. 5 different beaches in 10 kilometers far. Amazing Hikes and Waterfalls, Such as Pedra do Telegrafo and the untouched natural beach reserves. Despite of surfing we also like light parties with jam sessions and beers. The neighborhood has a lot to offer, such as pacified small comunities "favelas" where you can eat, drink and experience the local life.
