  • Description

My name is Mohammed and I'm born and raised in the desert of Aqaba. Long time ago I decided to start a hotel which features diving and accommodate guest at the beautiful South Beach near Aqaba.

Bedouin Village - A Beach front hotel which still keeps the Bedouin experience, located a little away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded city of Aqaba.

The Hotel is located at South Beach (ca. 12 km away from Aqaba center) directly at the Red Sea. Here you have an easy access to the fabulous coral reef of the Red Sea marine park which you can discover by diving or go snorkeling.

You will be a part of the hotel family and enjoy the Bedouin hospitality as well as some cups of tea :)

While workawayer staying with us, we will be happy to share our knowledge about culture, tradition, food and life of both: Bedouins and Jordanian. We can also teach you some basic Arabic words if you like to. We love to share so you will experience the Bedouin hospitality and drink a lot of tea ;)

The Red Sea is a great place for diving and it is known as one of the best places to dive. We can teach you how to dive or you can go snorkeling on your own. Of course we lend you the equipment for free.

The area is surrounded by the desert, the mountains and of course the Red Sea. You can also visit other nearby places such as Petra (2,5 hours drive) or Wadi Rum (45 minutes drive).

  • Help

We need volunteers mainly for the hotel but also for the dive center. The type of help will depend on the season/needs as well as your skills.

If you are a professional diving master/instructor you go with the guest on diving tours and prepare the rookies for their diving license. Also you give information about our activities, the Red Sea and helping with the equipment like rinsing, repairing and cleaning. Some basic computer skills are handy, so you can keep our website updated and advertising our services online.

At the hotel we need help with online marketing, our homepage and basic computer work, like updating the websites of different providers. Also we need you to spend time with the tourists, chatting and inform them about our offers. In a hotel there is always stuff to do: repairing, general maintenance and maybe even some little construction work. We have staff for cleaning, still we might need helping hands for that.

However, it will not be hard, and we will of course provide you with all the guidance you need. So don't be scared if you are not skilled with everything, it is not requested - every helping hand is always welcome and highly appreciated.

  • Accommodation

You will get your own room in the hotel. Either you get a room with shared bathroom outside or a hotel room with private bathroom inside. Depending on the availability.

We usually cook ourselves and eat together and you are of course welcome to join for free, or you eat at our restaurant for discount. A continental/Jordanian breakfast is served every morning which you can join. We can also show you cheap and good places to eat in Aqaba if you are interested in checking out the local restaurants.

Internet is available in the hotel/diving center. You also can wash your laundry here.

We also have a swimming pool and the beach is very close to the hotel.
