Description
Hello! My name is Marwan. I am now in Italy for 12 months on an Erasmus exchange program on a project related to social work. I am also a videographer and video editor. I am currently learning the italian language but my cooking skills has been way better improved than my language.
I am interested in meeting new people during my experience in Italy. My home is open to all travelers as a short stopover during your trip in Italy. It's like "Couch Surfing". You will keep your schedule and your plans while having fun and keeping yourself busy during your stay. I can provide a private room for you to sleep for almost one week but you will have to provide your own food.Types of help and learning opportunities

I am new in Italy, I already learned how to cook some italian dishes (but not Risotto or Lasagna yet!), I am also learning the italian language. I descend from a Palestinian family. I speak Arabic and English. I already started to learn Italian so I might have some useful tips for you if you are willing to learn it and maybe we can study it together.
I am passionate about films, I am a video editor and a videographer. I write sometimes but I would love to be involved more in the film industry.Help
I have been studying italian for more than 6 months now, I need to practice as much as possible.
I am interested in exchanging skills, being around artistic people, who dedicate a lot of time in improving their skill and their craft.
If you are a film maker we can collaborate on something together, filmmaking and writing is something I like to do.
But in general I am not asking for any help or hours. You will keep your plans and perhaps we share our plans together.Languages

There is extra private bedroom in the house you can use. There is wifi available but not always. You will will be responsible for providing your own food. Keeping everything clean and tidy is important because we will be sharing the apartment together.
What else ...
I am free on the weekend but not always, sometimes I appreciate not doing anything and be by myself, but other times I might suddenly go out for a trip without any planing. You are welcome to join me of course. I don't plan much the good time I just allow things to happen.
There still a lot of places around I haven't been to yet, I am interested in sharing a trip to one of the mountains around or anything else you want to explore in Italy or find interesting, I am open for all kinds of adventures.
The city I live in called Borgomenero, it's near to a two major lakes in Italy, lake Orta and lake lake Maggiore. the lakes are stunning, and the hiking areas around them are amazing. They are around 15 min away by car, and almost 40 min by bus or train, I rarely used the trains or buses in the area, but my previous gusts used it to go around, all you need is to ask the locals and be flexible, it's part of the adventure.
We are also close to the Swiss borders and the alps 🏔️.
Lake Como is near, I haven't been to yet but I don't think it's more beautiful than lake Orta, also it receives a lot of tourists which make it a crowded place, but I might visit it soon.
Here in Borgomenero you will experience the original Italian living style, the area is very authentic and has a lot of history behind it. it's not a touristy place but it's very interesting, most of the people living here are either locals or immigrants, everyone are busy in there life's but they are very welcoming and friendly, all you need is a smile on your face and some effort in Speaking there language!A little more information
