  We are a married couple (both 48) living with our 12-year-old daughter on a peaceful finca in the north of Tenerife, near the town of Icod de los Vinos. Our place is surrounded by nature and is perfect for people who enjoy a quiet lifestyle and spending time with animals. We have four horses, two cats, a dog, and chickens, so daily life involves caring for them and helping around the finca. We are looking for someone who would like to help with the animals and small tasks, and in return we offer a friendly, family atmosphere and the chance to experience local life in Tenerife.

  Travellers will experience life in the countryside of Tenerife, near Icod de los Vinos. We live surrounded by nature and animals, including horses and chickens, so guests can learn about daily rural life on the island.
  
  They can improve practical skills such as caring for animals, gardening, maintenance and helping with guest accommodation. We are happy to share local culture, food, language and a slower, more natural way of living.
  
  We speak both English and Polish and a little Spanish so communication is easy for travellers from different backgrounds.
  
  This experience is ideal for people who enjoy nature, animals and peaceful village life away from tourist areas.

  Help

  Help needed mainly with horse care (feeding, cleaning, and general daily care), as well as help us looking after the other animals (cats, dog, and chickens)
  
  We have two small wooden houses that we rent to guests. Cleaning and preparing the houses is also Workaway responsibilities.
  
  There will also be some help needed sometimes in the garden.

  Accommodation

  Private room in a separate building, offering peace and comfort. The room features a comfortable double bed and a private bathroom, ensuring complete privacy and convenience during your stay.
  
  Food will always be available – you’ll find everything you need in the fridge to prepare your own meals at any time. Sometimes we eat lunch together, and other times everyone cooks for themselves, depending on the day and schedule. In any case, there will always be full access to food.

  What else ...

  We are located in northern Tenerife, in the Hoya Ana Díaz area, close to Icod de los Vinos.
  
  There is public transport available, and it is possible to reach both Icod de los Vinos and Puerto de la Cruz by bus. The nearest bus stop is Las Morcillas.
  
  In their free time, helpers can explore the surrounding surroundings and nearby coastline. Playa de San Marcos is a small, quiet and rather stony beach. Playa El Socorro is well known as a surf beach, popular with surfers due to its waves and natural setting.
  
  Overall, the area is more rural and calm, offering a simple local experience and access to nature and the northern coast of Tenerife.
