    Description

This is a remote wilderness lodge located on the shore of a high alpine lake in the heart of British Columbia’s Coastal Mountains. Surrounded by rugged peaks, wildflower meadows, and glacier-fed lakes, the lodge is only accessible by floatplane, making it one of the most secluded hiking destinations in Canada.

Founded by mountain lovers and operated with a deep respect for nature, our place offers guests an immersive backcountry experience — complete with handcrafted log cabins, incredible hiking opportunities, and a chance to truly unplug. There are no roads, no cell service, and no distractions — just pure wilderness.

Guests come for guided or self-guided hiking, canoeing, and wildlife viewing. We grow much of our own food in a small alpine garden, live off-grid with solar power, and are committed to low-impact living.

It’s a place where people come to reconnect with nature, and where every day is shaped by the rhythm of the mountains.

We’re looking for a chef or experienced cook to join our small team. This is a unique opportunity to cook in a secluded and breathtakingly beautiful wilderness lodge, far from the distractions of everyday life. You’ll have full creative freedom to design your own menu and prepare meals for 15-25 people each day, using a well-equipped kitchen and fresh, local ingredients whenever possible.

We make our own bread, granola, yogurt, and mustard from scratch, and welcome cooks who are passionate about homemade, wholesome food. You’ll work independently and take pride in nourishing guests and staff in a truly remote setting.

In your time off, explore endless hiking trails, paddle across glacier-fed lakes, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. It’s a rare and rewarding experience for any chef who loves nature as much as good food.

Most have a valid working visa / permit.
Payment varies and depends on the length of the contract and your experience.
Base salary starts at 3,200 CAD a month.
