Description
Hi there!
I'm a single mother living in South Tyrol with my six years old son. We moved to Bozen 4 years ago and as I have no relatives here, I'm looking for someone who could spend few hours every day with my son while I'm at work. South Tyrol is a bilingual area where the majority of the population talks German, as Italian native speackers it is also very important for us to improve our German skills so we're looking for a German speacker who could help us practice this language with us.
I'd like to find a person who can stay several months with us to not create confusion to my kid with too many changes.
We live in a cool place where people normally come for holiday :D
We're in a small village at 1200mt that gets easely reached by cable car in 12' from the centre of Bozen. Bozen is a university town and the first city in Italy for the quality of life. South Tyrol is a paradise for sport lovers and nature lovers. Our village is sourranded by trekking paths and there are skiing facilities in our area. We use to do quite a bit of activities in our free time and you'll of course be heartly welcome to join us if you wish.Types of help and learning opportunities
Language practice
Babysitting and creative play
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
South Tyrol is a bilingual area and we live near the biggest town, Bolzano-Bozen. We love to experience whatever we find amazing and are happy to share it with other people. The province is also a very lively place with many sport and cultural initiatives and many other locations can be reached from here by train.
We want to improve our German skills but we're also happy to help with the italian language, our mothertounge, those interested in learning it.Help
In the morning my son is at school and I'll usually come back in the afternoon, so I have a gap for the lunchtime and the beginning of the afternoon. Sometimes it can happen that I have to work in the afternoon (at the latest until dinner time), or I might have some personal committment, but this happens just sometimes. In a normal day the workawayers should pick my son up from school, have lunch with him and spend some time with him for basically 2(-3) hours. So there will be a lot of spare time for the workawayer. Weekends, holidays and visits from relatives also represent free time and we can anyway always discuss together about specific needs. Beside food&hosting the workawayer will be provided for the costs of the public transport.
My kid attends a Montessori school with a non-directive approach so he is not supposed to have to do homeworks in the afternoon, but we care that his curiosity receives sound nourishment :) We don't have a tv at home and avoid videogames, smartphone etc... we rather prefer to use simple (but smart!) games, do manual activities, experiments etc at home and explore and enojoy the nature when we're outside, so we care a lot that also the workawayer would share this approach with us :)
I think these're the most important points to describe us and I'll be happy to go deeper in details through messages&videocalls, therefore...
I'm hoping to hear from you soon and ready to answer all your questions! ;)Languages
