    Description

Explore small scale farming and permaculture at our off-grid homestead. We’ve been on our land for six years and we are working to establish a permaculture orchard (berries, fruit and nuts), a subsistence garden and homestead.

Our agricultural endeavours are subsistence oriented, we don’t sell our produce.

Our house is powered by photovoltaics. We have internet an cell service as well as a washing machine. We also have a wood fired sauna.

There’s a ton of recreational opportunities around as well, such as:
    Slocan Lake—a 20 min walk
    Rock climbing
    Mountain biking
    Waterfall
    Hiking

We’re looking for responsible people who would like to learn and enjoy our space for six to eight weeks at a time.

Nous parlons français y hablamos espagnol tambien.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

This is an opportunity for experiential learning. We’ve been gardening for over ten years and have been homesteading for six years. We’re happy to share our learning journey with you.

We spend a lot of time in the garden, tending field crops, managing fencing for the animals and generally working on the land. We’d be happy to share what we’ve learned with you as well as explore new projects and interests with you.

We’d be happy to share meals if that interests you; however we’d also like to have regular family meals on our own too.
