Description
Welcome to our home near Montreal!
Hi! We are a friendly family of two: my dad and me. We love traveling, discovering new cultures, and sharing great moments. We’d be delighted to host someone who speaks Spanish, as we enjoy learning and practicing the language! We would prefer someone who speaks Spanish, as it would help us continue practicing the language.
A little about us:
Me, Lauriane, 24, I’m a medical student passionate about learning, cooking, and outdoor activities. I had the chance to do two Workaway experiences in Spain in 2023, which gave me a deep appreciation for cultural exchange and inspired me to become a host myself.
My dad, 57, is a craftsman specializing in staircase making. He loves sharing his expertise and working on creative projects.
We enjoy cooking together, exploring the city, and having meaningful conversations over a nice meal. If you’re eager to share your culture and experience something unique, you’ll feel right at home with us!
During your free time, you can visit our city, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, or take the bus (just at the corner of the street) to explore Montreal. Depending on the season, there are different activities you can enjoy, such as skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer. We also have Wi-Fi available in the apartment.

You’ll get to explore life in Montreal, a vibrant and multicultural city! We value meaningful conversations, sharing stories, and learning from each other’s cultures. You’ll be part of a warm and friendly environment where we embrace curiosity and connection.
Help
We’d love some help with light housekeeping around the apartment, such as tidying up, doing the dishes, and keeping the space organized. However, the most important thing for us is speaking Spanish! We’re eager to practice and improve our language skills, so having conversations in Spanish would be a huge help.
If you enjoy sharing your language and culture while helping out a little at home, we’d be thrilled to host you!Languages

Our apartment is warm and welcoming, and you’ll have access to all shared areas, including the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. We want you to feel at home during your stay with us! We’re located about 1 hour from Montreal by bus, making it easy to explore the city while enjoying a quieter environment.
Three meals a day are provided, except when you go out for activities, in which case you will need to plan your own meal. For lunch, you will need to prepare your own meal as we will be working. For dinner, you are expected to help prepare the recipe, and we would love for you to share and teach us recipes from your country!A little more information
