Description
Hello, I'm Jenn, a 39 year old mother passionate about health, wellness, entrenprenureship and adventure. I like giving back to the community and exploring in the backcountry (snowboarding, hiking, camping under the stars). My 9 year old son is equally passionate and adventurous. Very smart, bright, funny and athletic. Dedicated to karate and soccer for the past five years he is excited to visit Japan with me next year for the 2020 olympics. We are easy going, tidy and love to cook. I work long days and take my son to his sports so we are not home during the day. We like to make dinner at home most nights and explore on the weekends. We have a small garden and warm humble home surrounded by trees, forests, creeks and only 5 minutes to the beach. The main bus route is directly in front of our home and the ferry to Vancouver Island is only a 5 minute drive or bus ride away. We love music and have a piano and 2 acoustic guitars.

My son and are kind easy going people and very welcoming. Our guest would be very comfortable in our home, learn english and all about Canadian culture. We could show them Whistler, Squamish, Vancouver Island and beyond as we love to go on local adventures... biking, skiing, hiking, surfing, running, swimming, dinners with friends, live music, camping, etc. We are only 5 minutes from the beach and have a paddleboard for use. Our family loves to fish and has a boat on Vancouver Island. The beaches in Tofino BC are amazing and we visit there 4-5 times a year. Lots of fun to be had and also a cozy, stable and comfortable home environment. The City of Vancouver has so much to offer as well and we like to visit and go out to restaurants there lots. Our home is in a quiet quaint neighborhood about 20-30 minutes from downtown. Tennis and Basketball courts and a large park are across the street and lots of hiking trails at our doorstep.

Help
My son is extremely passionate about karate and the Japanese culture. I would like to have someone available for after school child care from 2:30pm to 5:30pm that can help tidy the house, teach him Japanese, practice karate and just be playful and fun. Help with cooking would be a bonus but not essential.

Accommodation
One bedroom room in our ground level suite of a two story house in West Vancouver. The owner is an elderly lady who lives upstairs. Our home is very private, quiet in an affluent neighborhood about a 30 minute bus ride to downtown Vancouver. You would be responsible for making your own meals though we would invite you to join in our meal from time to time. You would have one drawer and a shelf in our fridge. Our home is very cozy warm and comfortable with a small kitchen and bathroom with shower (no bath). About 1200 square feet in size. The neighborhood is amazing.

Vancouver is one of the most amazing places in the world to live. So much to see and do and some many incredible surrounding areas to explore. Whistler and Tofino to name a few.
