  • Description

We are a young Dutch-Canadian family living in the small Irish coastal village of Rosscarbery, approximately 70km South of Cork City. We have a baby girl, Norah, who was born February 2016. (Currently 2.5 years old)

We are looking for a single person who would be interested in doing general help around the house and taking care of Norah. Tasks would include help with feeding, lots of playing, cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc.

We can offer you a private room and wholesome meals in return. Experience with toddlers a plus, but not necessary. Moderate knowledge of English a must.

You would be staying in an authentic Irish village. Locals are friendly and eager to chat. Would be great to improve English. There's also great pubs and restaurants with local food and beer. I am also very into vegan cooking and would love to share recipes and tips.

  • Help

-Help with Norah will be the main job. She is a energetic toddler and needs a lot of stimulation. We are also working through feeding problems and you could help assist with preparing her food, and feeding her if she is comfortable with it. Other tasks would include help with bathing, taking her for walks, to the playground, and lots of cuddles!

-General housework such as dishes, vacuuming, taking out recycling, etc.

-Help with cooking. We would love for you to help prepare meals. We are vegan/plant-based, and you are of course welcome to eat with us, but if you would like to cook non-vegan for yourself, that is no problem. :)

    What else ...

Rosscarbery is a small, quiet village, however, we live in walkable distance to an amazing beach (a 25 min walk). There are lovely country roads to walk and cycle. There is a place to rent kayaks and paddle boards in the summer time. Farmers markets on the weekends are 13km away for the freshest produce and good vibes!

Please note this is more of an opportunity for someone who enjoys peace and quiet! As mentioned, the village is very small, and you will mainly be looking after Norah. During your free time you can do as you wish, but there is not a lot going on in Rosscarbery. (But very lovely and happening town's very close by!) If you like to walk, read, relax, watch movies, or write, this is more for you.
