We live in a village just outside the well known University city of Cambridge. The house is on the old railway line (closed in the 1960's) and has a large garden with the old platform in the garden. It is in the middle of open countryside, yet is only 5 miles from town, 15 minutes by bus or 30 minutes by bicycle to the historic city centre. We have a 2 year old girl and a 3.5 year old little boy (who keep us entertained but very busy!) a cat called Monkey, and a little sheepdog called Pup.

We could do with some help decorating, a long list of odd jobs around the house, helping with the kids plus we have a wild garden that needs taming!

We are right on the doorstep of an old and beautiful city which is there for the exploring!

We are a friendly family, that is working hard to pay all our bills! Since our second baby came along, it's been virtually impossible to get anything done without two pairs of hands! We've got a lovely house, but need help with...decorating the stairs and landing, a few garden projects, playing with the babies (!), basic administration in our home office and generally assisting in getting/ keeping our lives organised! We also have an old gypsy wagon that we have nearly finished renovating so there could be some general help with that.

Please be aware that at the moment, we can only offer short term stays, around 2 weeks at a time. We are not far from all the main London airports though, so we could be a good base to get settled before heading off to explore the UK further!

    What else ...

We are 30 minutes by bicycle or 15 minutes by bus from the bustling city of Cambridge. It is a beautiful city and a great place to practice your English or just spend time if you are an English speaker. We are also only 45 minutes on the train from London. We would be happy to give lifts to the station when we are going into town. The village is 5 miles from the city centre and has 2 pubs and a shop that is open from 7am to 7pm. There are buses that run regularly into town and we have a town bike available to use. We would be flexible if guests wanted to condense some hours to go to London for a long weekend say.
