I'm a 25 year old Socialpedagogue working at an institution for adults with cognitive and physical disabilities.
Thanks to Workaway, I was able to volunteer in 5 different countries during 6 months in 2019 and 2020.
Due to my job, I am now able to rent my own apartment. I would love to share it with others. It's my first time hosting, and I'm happy to give back.
I value learning from each other; be it through sharing personal experiences, cultures, music or even cooking (always happy to learn new recipes).
I have lots of diverse interests and I'm open to have discussions about any topic you are passionate about.

Zurich is a very interesting city that is quite open-minded and culturally diverse. There's always lots of events going on, from concerts to book readings, and many other kinds of cool and unique workshops.

Disclaimer: I can't offer that many diverse or extraordinary tasks. The main goal is that you enjoy your time in Zurich.
Because I can only host 1 person at a time, and I work a lot and early/late shift, it's important that you are able to spend time alone and entertain yourself. You are free to work on your own projects and explore Zurich anytime.
When I'm home, we can discuss tasks and/or do activities together. We will cook and eat together when I am here.
I'd like to make this new place a home, so I'm open to your ideas on what could be added to the apartment!
What could be done:
- Repainting
- Taking care of groceries/preparing meals
- Shopping for needed tools, additional furniture
- Building a small shelf to put my projector on, so we can watch movies on the white wall
- Fixing the bike

Accommodation
I live in a 3 room apartment 20 minutes from the city center. It's a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, with a beautiful forest nearby.
You can choose to sleep on an air mattress or foldable mattress in the office, which will be your room. At the moment there isn't a space to put your clothes, but we could make a DIY shelf.
There's Wifi, a nice bathroom, a living room, and good kitchen. There's a seperate room in the basement for laundry.
What else ...
You can borrow one of my bikes to get around (public transportation can be costly). Please remember to always lock it and turn on the lights at night.
There's endless activities and places to visit in Zurich. I'll be happy to make recommendations during your stay.
I usually enjoy a balance between activity and rest. Some of my work days can be quite hectic, and I like to take a little time to "calm down". So this isn't really a party place, if this is what you are looking for ;).
