Description
Hello!
My name is Sanja. Two years ago, I moved to the countryside on a large property near a beautiful lake and forest. The region is rich in wild edible and medicinal plants. I have a garden of 200 m2, which I grow in a permaculture way. I try to have vegetables in the garden all year round. My two daughters visit me from time to time and help me with the work on the farm.
The nearest bigger place is Vrginmost and it is 8 km away. Half an hour's drive from the property is the mountain Petrova Gora, which I like to visit. The area is rich in various mushrooms and plum and apple trees.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I have been doing phyto aromatherapy for many years and I can offer lot of information about local plants, how to recognize them, pick and dry them. Also how to process and use them for food, medicine or cosmetic purposes. Permaculture is also one of the knowledges I that can offer as well as teaching the volunteers about resources everywhere around us. I cook homemade food made from local groceries. I can introduce volunteers to Croatian language, local customs and residents.

Help
I would need volunteers who are handy and know their way around a garden . There is a lot of work that includes landscaping the property and tending to the garden.

I speak English but not perfectly and am always happy to practice. I am a fan of Spanish and leaning some words would be fun although I do not actively speak the language. I am happy to teach volunteers some Croatian if they are interested.Accommodation
Although there is still work to be done on the house, I have brought it to a state of comfort for living. The volunteers would be accommodated in the house together with me, two dogs and one cat. They would have a guest room for their privacy, and we share the kitchen, living room and toilet.
I mostly buy food from people in the village, except for what I produce myself. I would prepare one meal (lunch). Volunteers can make them self breakfast and dinner when it suits them, from the groceries in the house.
The house is located in a quiet place surrounded by fields and forests.
Workaway families with children are welcome but with their own campervans.
Couples without children can share a bed in the guestroom since it is big enough for two. What else ...
In their free time, volunteers can stay at the lake and walk in the surrounding forests. Not far away there are spas with various facilities, then a mountain lodge on Petrova Gora where you can eat local specialties. Getting to know the eco-village, which has about fifteen interconnected households.
My property is not connected by a city line to the nearest place, but that's why I can take them when needed.
The nearest larger city is Karlovac, with which we are connected by bus lines twice a day.
I expect volunteers to be tidy and respect my living space. I also encourage them to ask for everything they may need. I am happy to chat, eat together and offer volunteers a warm hospitable home.
We start working at 9AM the latest and around 7 or 8AM during summer when it gets pretty hot.
I would appreciate volunteers working with me around 5 hours daily during the week and of course they are free on the weekends to enjoy their free time.A little more information
Internet access
Limited internet access
We have pets
We are smokers
Can host families
Space for parking camper vans
Since I have a very big estate, the size of the campervan is not the issue. You can park it in my yard and use all the facilities in the house.
Can possibly accept pets
I have a bigger male dog (not castrated) and a small female dog as well as a cat. They are all very friendly but the male dog can be aggressive to other not castrated male dogs. You are free to bring your pets if they are well mannered and friendly. All animals living on my estate are free to roam around.
How many Workawayers can stay?
More than two
