Hi,
I am Antonio, 45, Italian.11 years ago i radically change my life and start to travel since i root in the beautiful hills of western Algarve.
I am trying my best to be a farmer, organic and sustainable, main goal is always have a low footprint lifestyle.
At the moment i am living in a small plot, literally in front of the village of Pedralva.
There is a pretty vegetable garden with some fruit trees,a lovely dog and 2 cats, no other animals for the moment.
All the project is inspired on permaculture, but i am not a teacher or a a fanatic.Instead i am fanatic of recycling and restoring, give new life on object, buy as less as possible and find cheap solutions.
The goal atm is preparing this place for selling and move in the new one.
Mostly gardening, forest cleaning, carpentry and of course moving and re-organise stuff.
I am starting a new project from scratch, for the 6th time..., in another plot of 2,5 ha.
The new amazing final place has 1 ha of flat land where must be build the new wood house, container workshop, well, carport and the new garden set up...and 1,5 ha of hill side very wild and abandoned that needs hard core cleaning.
Anyhow a lot of work, very interesting to who wanna start an off-grid life!
Accomodation is a single bed small room or my old van,I have hot outside shower and a compost toilet.
You are welcome with your own van/car but parking is possible just in the new place.
My place can be uncomfortable from some people and is kind of small, so i like to host people very motivated and interested, even without experience or particular skills.For me is very important the real interest into the self sustainable low cost lifestyle.
I recently quit drinking and smoking, i can handle easy drinker, tobacco will be nice to don't smell it at all...
Actually i am very open to share my experience and help people to get rid of addiction.
I have internet for communication or recreation\information purpose but if you are a working nomad is not enough and anyhow you don't fit the concept and probably you are not welcome.
Actually a tech detox and go back to a nice natural real life is the concept,to be you the smart one between yourself and your phone....really up for deep mean conversation.
I also don't do Yoga or surf and i am not vegan, if those are you only interests you will find plenty of offers in the area!
i am open minded but tired to hear stereotype empty brainwashed social network crap, so toxic woke propaganda, as right or left wing one, is not welcome.
Anarchist free thinking is also part of the concept.
Food is italian mediterranean style, locally and seasonally reinterpreted, open to vegetarian, better not...anyhow i eat more local, seasonal and sustainable as possible.
I can teach classic italian recipes.

No bus from Pedralva, but a lot of lovely people driving around, hitch-hicking is very easy and funny.The best beaches and waves of Algarve are less then 10 km, sud and west coast.
There are a lot of people and project running around the hills and the valley, into a beautyful wild enviroment.
Biking and hicking is amazing!
