A smiling man and woman take a selfie outdoors in a forest. The man wears glasses, the woman a cap. Both appear happy, enjoying nature together.
Tall sunflowers bloom vibrantly in a lush green garden. A rustic house stands in the background under a bright blue sky with wispy clouds.
A glowing greenhouse sits in an open green field, surrounded by trees and bushes, viewed through a rustic wooden gate at dusk with a peaceful atmosphere.
A goat stands protectively beside her two young kids in a barn filled with hay bales. They look healthy and content in their cozy environment.
A woman in a striped apron is making cheese in a kitchen, holding a ladle of curds over a large pot filled with whey. She’s smiling.

    Description

Sarah and David live on a beautiful small permaculture farm in regional Victoria. We milk goats each day, make cheese and yoghurt, grow fruits and vegetables, tend to the chickens and bees and generally have a wonderful time enjoying a productive and rewarding life. We only produce for our own consumption, so you won't be asked to help with any profit-making projects.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We live in a vibrant, connected community where neighbours and friends meet regularly and help each other out. You'll be included in these activities where you can meet others and learn more about this part of the world.
We operate a busy small permaculture property where we produce most of the food that we eat. You'll learn how to grow food, propagate plants, tend to the garden, milk goats, make cheese, look after chickens and bees and maintain the farm. And if you need to practise your English speaking and writing skills, we'd be happy to help too. We would enjoy learning about you, your culture and your home town, and some of your language too.

  • Help

    Help

We need help with day-to-day tasks, such as milking the goats, making cheese, looking after the chickens and bees, gardening, harvesting, propagating plants, composting and cooking. We also need help with a number of projects around the property, including fencing, painting, planting trees and the construction of a dome house. You'll do most tasks together with us so you can learn what to do. We only produce for our own consumption, so you won't be asked to help with any profit-making projects.
