About Us
We are a newly grown family of three, living a simple, intentional life in the beautiful Montenegrin countryside. I’m originally from Montenegro and my partner is from the UK, making our little family a blend of cultures and perspectives.
We’ve recently moved to our family land, where we’re slowly building up a small farm with a few animals and big dreams. There’s always something to do – from gardening, building, and small renovations to creative projects and community ideas. While the to-do list is long, the vibe here is peaceful and unhurried. We deeply value connection, conversation, and creativity just as much as we value practical help.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re hoping to host open-minded, easygoing people – perhaps with alternative or creative backgrounds – who are curious about different ways of living. People we can genuinely enjoy spending time with, share meals and ideas, and have meaningful conversations about life, society, culture, and the world.
If you’re someone who enjoys nature, is happy to get your hands dirty, and likes being part of a down-to-earth family rhythm (with a little one around!), we’d love to hear from you.
Where We Are
Our place is located just outside Danilovgrad, a small town of about 6,000 people nestled between Montenegro’s two main cities – Podgorica and Nikšić. It’s quiet here, but not isolated. About 20 km away is the stunning Ostrog Monastery, dramatically built into a vertical cliffside – a must-see while you’re here.
Surrounded by mountains, rivers, and forests, this region offers plenty of natural beauty, fresh air, and opportunities to explore rural Montenegro.Types of help and learning opportunities

We’re a multicultural family – Montenegrin and British – and we love sharing our cultures, languages, and everyday life with others. Staying with us means you’ll get a real taste of Montenegrin traditions, food, and countryside living, as well as insight into a more alternative, creative lifestyle.
We’re happy to help you learn the language, share stories about local customs, and even take you to explore some of Montenegro’s most beautiful and lesser-known natural spots.
We’re also both very hands-on and have a wide range of practical skills. You can learn everything from handmade jewelry making to welding, woodworking, and other creative DIY skills – guided by years of experience.
If you’re curious, open-minded, and love learning through doing – this will be a rewarding exchange.Projects involving children

Help
Together with our baby, we’re slowly turning this land into something special – a peaceful escape, a small farm, and (hopefully soon) a little outdoor coffee shop.
We’re looking for volunteers who are open-minded, motivated, and not afraid of a little manual work. The tasks are varied depending on the day and your strengths – some weeding around the garden, clearing or moving wood, basic DIY or construction tasks (guided by Anthony), and possibly helping us bring our coffee shop idea to life.
This is a good opportunity if you enjoy nature, want to learn new skills, or just be part of a relaxed, creative, and slightly chaotic family vibe.
Important note:
We live in the house now, but we may have space in our camper trailer – only when it’s not rented on Airbnb. If it’s booked, we won’t be able to host anyone during those dates. We’ll always let you know in advance.Languages

Volunteers will stay in our camper trailer, located on our peaceful countryside land. The camper includes a bed, small kitchen, toilet, and an indoor shower – so you’ll have your basic comforts while being surrounded by nature.
Important: The camper is also listed on Airbnb, so it’s only available when not booked by guests. If a reservation comes in during your stay, we’ll need you to leave the trailer – but we’ll give you as much notice as possible.
We don’t have a built outdoor shower yet, but if you’re into DIY, we’ve got some materials around and you’re welcome to create one as a side project! 😄
