Description
I am a university professor in the northern Amazon of Ecuador, usually I always have research projects. These are focused on biodiversity and all its problems due to human activities. Before contacting me, I recommend you to read a little about the activities and topics I work on: you can look for me as Carlos Mestanza-Ramón. I am currently working on the use of Hg mercury in gold mining processes and on the other hand I evaluate the landscape of tourist resources such as waterfalls in Sucumbíos Ecuador and Putumayo Colombia.
The collaboration will be in field work, for example, tours, sampling, others ....
On weekends we will take advantage of the opportunity to make trips to the jungle or areas of interest.

Soy un profesor de universidad en la Amazonía norte de Ecuador, por lo general siempre tengo proyectos de investigación. Estos están enfocados en la biodiversidad y todos sus problemas por las actividades humanas. Antes de ponerte en contacto conmigo, te recomiendo leas un poco sobre las actividades y temas que trabajo: puedes buscarme como Carlos Mestanza-Ramón. En la actualidad trabajo en temas de uso de mercurio Hg en procesos de minería aurífera y por otra parte evaluo el paisaje de recursos turísticos como cascadas en Sucumbíos Ecuador y Putumayo Colombia.
La colaboración será en trabajo de campo, por ejemplo, recorridos, tomas de muestras, otros...
Los fines de semana aprovechamos para realizar recorridos por la selva o zonas de interés.

Aun no fuimos en la Reserva, fue una muy buena experiencia con Carlos.
Hemos ayudado a los cursos con les niños, disfrutando de los parques alrededor de Lago Agrio.

Maravillosos días en la Reserva de Cuyabeno de la mano de Carlos! Pudimos visitar diferentes comunidades de la zona, disfrutar de la flora y fauna de la reserva y caminar por hermosos senderos!! Súper recomendable trabajar con Carlos. Muy linda experiencia!! Gracias!!!!!

Carlos and his family are extremely nice, welcoming people. The work was mainly fixing up his apartment and working in the garden. On the weekends we went camping and spent time with his family, I will never forget my time spent with them.
