    Description

We are a community based organization in Ruai Kenya, that aims to empower and support special needs individuals and their primary caregivers. We try to reintegrate them into the community as independent and productive citizens.

In our organization we deal with children with mental disability such as , cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, down syndrome just to name a few.

In Kenya Cerebral palsy is known as the silent disability in Kenyan homes, as most parents encounter stigmatization and the conditions are linked to factors like witchcraft and family inherited curses and therefore majority of parents
tend to hide their children from the society.

We offer a safe space where they can freely share and talk about challenges they face from having children with disabilities.

Developing initiatives such as education support, agriculture, micro-finance, health care, sports and adding value to existing efforts designed to strengthen community.
Offer mentorships sessions and life skills they require to empower themselves .

Make home visits and help them with household tasks and give them few basic items they need as most of people in the area are small scale farmers (home use) ,we therefore try to give them new ideas on farming so as to increase yields.

We operate in Ruai Kenya and most of the people here are living in poverty ,illiteracy and unemployment so it becomes very difficult for people with mental health to get help.

We would also like volunteers who are interested in community work.
