Description
**I am Christine, a former teacher now enjoying the freedom to travel whenever I can. My home is in the Basque Country, where I treasure the peacefulness of my house and village. With my children now grown, I divide my time between quiet days at home and the adventure of exploring the world.
I love gardening, cooking, architecture, literature, movies, and visiting art galleries. I speak French, English, and Spanish, and I have just begun learning Italian. I cherish my solitude, yet I am always glad to meet fellow travelers or share my place in this beautiful corner of the world.
In November, I would especially appreciate the help of someone with knowledge of carpentry or woodworking. Otherwise, hosting someone from Japan would delight me—I would love to learn Japanese cooking and a little of the language.
Above all, I am always eager to keep learning.**Types of help and learning opportunities

I love to travel and have been to Cuba, Mexico, the USA, India, Denmark, Italy, England, South of Vietnam and explored Istanbul and Morocco, Budapest and Berlin among other. I'm said to be a good cook and I can teach you how to cook. The Basque region where I live is magnificent for those who love gentle mountains and forests. I've been teaching for a long time and can give French or Spanish conversation lessons. I practice yoga and love to read.
Help
I live in a typical Basque house and in November I need to fix the terrace , building a shelter
for two bicycles and put up a fence. I have tools and I'm resourceful when it comes to DIY, but I've been a bit overwhelmed by my bed and breakfast business lately. So as I have been inter-active just before Covid episod with workaway as a worker I thought it could be great to be a host now!Languages

You'll be staying at home in one of the rooms and share the bathroom, or depending the time you come you'll have your own private bathroom and toilets. You'll prepare your own lunch and have access to the kitchen. Breakfast and dinner are provided.
What else ...
You can explore the surrounding area on foot and I'm 800 m from the village center. A footpath passes in front of my house and there are many walks starting from the village. I can lend you a bike and there are buses and car-sharing arrangements to Biarritz, the ocean, Bayonne etc. ....we are in a touristes zone but our village is not crowdy specially out of Summer time.
