    Description

Hi there! It's great to meet you all. Allow me to introduce Wilson, an Engineer who works at a guesthouse in Malaysia. He is your big brother in Malaysia, and he loves to bring people together from all over the world. Wilson considers the guesthouse as more than just a place to stay, but rather a home away from home. Located in Penang, Georgetown, the guesthouse is a perfect place to meet new friends and explore the beautiful city. Wilson is always eager to welcome new guests and make their stay memorable. Currently, the guesthouse has two full-time workers, and they are waiting for you to join the team. So, pack your bags and get ready for a warm welcome from Wilson and the team at the guesthouse. See you soon!

As a multiracial country, Malaysia has a diverse population consisting of Chinese, Malay, and Indian communities. I would like to share with you some aspects of our daily lifestyle, such as our food, religion, traditions, the Night and Wet markets where we purchase our daily groceries, our dialects, and how we greet each other.

Let me provide you with a few examples:

    Goddess of Mercy Temple
Built-in 1800, the Goddess of Mercy Temple is known to be the oldest Chinese temple in Penang. The temple is governed by equal representation from Hokkien and Cantonese communities on its trustee board.

    Kapitan Keling Mosque
The Kapitan Keling Mosque, built-in 1803, is a brick mosque named after the captain of the Indian Muslim community, Kapitan Keling Kadir Mydin Merican, who is recognized as its founder.

    Little India
Little India is a vibrant area in Penang where early Indian immigrants settled down. This quarter is the center of South Indian culture on the island, offering a variety of Indian music, savory cuisine, exotic spices, and authentic goods.

    Kek Lok Si Temple
The Kek Lok Si Temple is one of Southeast Asia's largest Buddhist temples, featuring a seven-story handcrafted "Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas" and a 30.2m bronze Kuan Yin statue. During Chinese New Year, the temple is illuminated by over 200,000 decorative lights and lanterns.

These examples showcase the diversity of Malaysia's cultural and religious landscape. There is much more to learn about our country, and I hope to see you soon to share more about our fascinating heritage. Thank you for your interest!

    Best regards,

    Wilson Loo
