Description
We are a small homesteading farm in beautiful South West Nova Scotia. We are in the Acadian region of Nova Scotia.
Lisa works full time, while Dave is off work with an injury. We now are raising chickens and vegetables. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs(small), Dave is also limited in the amount of physical work which he can do.
Spring and Summer is always the busiest time but there is always something to do all year long. Not so much in the winter. but we might have an indoor project to finish.
Duties can include but not limited to:
-painting
-cooking
-carpentry
-yard work
-cleaning
-gardening
-splitting firewood
and whatever else needs done at the time. We would expect 4 -5 hours of help per day. We would like you to stay a week or maybe up to 3 weeks.
We will provide you with a warm, cozy bedroom with a shared bathroom, 3 meals a day and access to the internet. Sometimes you might have to cook for yourself and maybe us.
Depending on the time of year, we'll even show you the local sights!
We do hope that you would like to join our little family while you are here, having chat time or just relaxing on the veranda. We will try and include you in the things we do for fun, if you are interested. We love to cycle, when it's waTypes of help and learning opportunities

Dave showed me many coves, lighthouses, and beautiful places around the area I learnt a lot from him. He took me on a tour of the fire hall, where he volunteers and I watch a game called “Barrel Roll”, which I found to be funny because I have never seen anything like that before.
