    Description

Hi, I am a single middle aged mum of three girls (all older now), living in the beachside suburb of Frankston. I love living in Frankston as it has everything you need here and it is the "gateway" to the Mornington Peninsula, which has beautiful ocean and bay beaches, great cafes, wineries and nature walks.
My house is located a short drive to the local beach and has easy access to public transport. I have a suburban block where I am establishing a medicinal garden and also fruit and vegetables, but it is a work in progress. I also have a bee hive.
My daughter's alternate living with me and their Dad, but they are in late teens and the eldest is 20, so I see them whenever they decide to stay here nowadays! I also have animals. I have a dog called "River" who is a Lab x Staffy breed and is a very sweet girl. There are the two cats, and my daughter's guinea pig "Hank" who recently lost his brother...so I felt bad and got him a friend..but I'm not sure they are actually friends yet.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I love medicinal plants, bee-keeping, nature, animals (I'm a bit of a 'hippie" I guess). So I could pass on knowledge of medicinal plants and gardening. I like natural and alternative medicines, so if this is your thing I would love to learn from you too. I enjoy philosophical conversations and
sharing thoughts and opinions. I would regard myself as an "awake" soul who does not buy into the mainstream narratives.
I love to get out in nature and often take my dog to lovely places to walk. I would be happy to bring you along on daily walks and trips to the beach. I have a small circle of lovely friends and my kids are fun to be around when they are here so you would be most welcome to socialise with us. I'm sure we would have some fun conversations and we would love to help with expanding your language skills if English is not your first language, and I would be interested to learn from you as well. We are always open to learning about different cultures, your life back home and anything you would like to share. I especially would like to learn about different foods and recipes from your culture (if you can cook :).

I can't keep up with everything on my own, so I would love some help to catch up with my gardening, which would include weeding, harvesting medicinal plants, potting up new plants etc. I really need help with some general house cleaning jobs and de-cluttering, which I would be there to help with too. Things like cleaning out the fridge, or sorting out the pantry, or clearing out a cupboard would be a great help.

I would like to find someone who likes cooking healthy meals as some days I will be busy with work. Most often we would be working together but working independently would also be needed. I really just need someone on my team and an extra set of hands.

    Accommodation

I will be offering accomodation in my neat little caravan. It is located in the front yard under a shade sail. This would provide a private, cosy space for you sleep and "chill out" if you would like some time to yourself. The caravan will have a power board, a heater, (or fan), and a kettle if you would like to make a hot drink. There is a television in there too, which I can set up if you like. When my parents visit from North Queensland, I give them my bedroom and I move into the caravan, which I really like (it makes me feel like I'm on holidays)! You will be given a key to the house so you can come inside to use the bathroom whenever you need. You are most welcome to spend as much time inside the house as you like of course.

In regards to food, we generally try to eat organic vegetables. We eat some meat (Chicken, beef, fish), but are pretty fussy about where it comes from. I would provide food for dinner and breakfast and you are welcome to keep any of your own favourite foods in a seperate spot. I am happy to accomodate any dietary requirements and we can discuss your needs.

    What else ...

On your time off there is the city of Frankston which is easily accessible via a bus. From there you can catch a train to Melbourne. Frankston has a shopping centre, cinemas and bowling, cafes and a swimming centre. There are also many beaches to visit and all the attractions of the Mornington Peninsula. I often go to nice places to walk the dog, which you are welcome to join me. I also have a stand up paddle board which you are welcome to try if we get the chance one day.

If you are a smoker, I don't mind as long as you smoke outside.
    Must like animals.
Not a fan of alcohol, but don't mind if you enjoy a wine at dinner or something.
