Description
We’re Neuza (Portuguese) , Felix (German), Olivia (4) and Benno (1.5) — a small, warm family living in Sagres, at the southwestern tip of Portugal. We also have two lively Jack Russell terriers, Paco and Pukas! We love the relaxed coastal lifestyle here and are looking for someone who wants to genuinely be part of family life for a while.
We are a trilingual family and it is important to us that our children grow up with the German and english language. For this reason, we are specifically looking for German-speaking helpers who will naturally speak German with Olivia and Benno during their time with us. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Sagres is a small village at the far western tip of the Algarve. The coastline is wild and mostly undeveloped. There’s good surf, long cliff walks and quiet beaches. The community is a mix of locals and an international crowd of surfers, nomads and people who came for a short visit and stayed. It’s a low-key place with a good atmosphere.
Lagos is about 45 minutes away for anything the village doesn’t have. -

Accommodation
You’ll have your own private caravan on our property with a small fridge and cooking facilities, so you have independence when you want it. There’s a private toilet in the caravan for nighttime use, and you’re welcome to use the bathroom in our family home during the day.
Our house is within walking distance to the beach. You’ll also have use of a bicycle or car to get around, and a beginner surfboard is available for free whenever you want it.
We aim to provide 3 meals a day shared with the family when possible, but will also provide some stipend for the Workawayer to prepare their own meal -
What else ...
One thing to mention upfront: our house has a separate apartment that we rent out to Bnb guests. We ask that you’re mindful of this — keeping noise reasonable and respecting that paying guests may be staying next door at times. It’s nothing complicated, just basic consideration.
