Our Organisation is a crisis and accommodation center which started off very small in 2012 taking care of three abandoned siblings to 31 children at the moment. We also provide accommodation for women affected by domestic violence. Since covid hit in march 2020 we have been adversely affected , it is in January 2020 when we had started a journey to self reliance.

We recently received a generous donation from two of my friends and those who together we founded this NGO and their families and friend which helped us purchase a bigger portion of land that can be used in planting more food for the children so that we have variety and help us cut the coat of food which has become very expensive. We would need help in setting the farm up and also teaching on best farming practices to increase yield.

When our children come to us they come speaking one language (mother tongue) we would like help with english teachers and pre school teachers who can help in building a firm foundation in matters education.

We have short of staff too due to limited funds and a high cost of living. If we could get help with volunteers who can help in cooking, folding clothes and keeping the house clean that would help too. We dont have washing machines so we wash by hands im not sure if you can do this also.

We also need help with fundraing ideas. How we can tap in to local support from our community and international.

We need help in advice on what our organisation can do to generate income to support the work we do. Are we able to get somebody who can help market local products like soastone carvings, beeds which we locally produce in our community for international markets? Any other ideas that can work internationally.

We need social workers who can help us improve on the management of our children, women and elderly persons cases so we learn best practices and see how we can merge them those that work.

We need construction engineers and architects who can help us draw our new center. If we can get labour then we know our dream can be achieved very quickly.

We support our local community through different programs:

    1. Economic empowerment workshops and trainings for our mothers and girls

    2. Free medical and cancer screening and health promotion programs.

    3. Girl mentorship programs twice each year. Anti fgm program.

    4. Food program where we provide food to our elderly persons and vulnerable families

If you are able to come and support in one or all these programs you are welcomed. If you are in the medical field and you can come down to Kenya this wouod be a very interesting experience.
