We are a family of four who own a small farm near the outskirts of Cairo (access to the desert, near the pyramids). Our main purpose is to train polo ponies for our own use and to sell to the local polo community. It is a great opportunity to engage in the local Egyptian community as well as to further your horsemanship skills and ride in a different environment.

Especially due to our central location in Cairo, there are many opportunities to visit many historical sites such as the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, and so on.
We need better than average horse riders, preferably with polo training experience. The workawayers will help with the care, conditioning, and training of polo ponies, so they need to be relatively experienced around horses. There are also possible opportunities to practice polo (stick and ball) depending on the season.

Workawayers have a bedroom with a full bathroom, functioning air conditioning, and access to the kitchen and the rest of the house. All food is provided.
The area is a riding community, with some opportunities for jumping, dressage, and desert riding. During their time off, the easiest form of transportation is Uber, with all the famous historical sites accessible from our house. One thing to mention is we also have other animals, including dogs, cats, donkeys, and fish.
Due to COVID-19 we have been less active on this site and will no longer be accepting Workaways until May at the earliest. Please keep this in mind before messaging.
