Welcome to Our Coastal Project in Cambutal, Panama
We’re a small family living in the beautiful surf town of Cambutal, Panama — a laid-back community surrounded by jungle, ocean, and a strong sense of connection to nature. We’re building an outdoor bathroom and some furniture, and we’d love to welcome Workawayers to be part of it!
What We’re Looking For
We’re currently seeking helpers who can lend a hand in one (or more!) of the following areas:
• Handyman / Building Support: basic carpentry, painting, fixing, or assisting with ongoing construction and maintenance projects.
• Cooking: help prepare healthy, simple lunches or family-style meals.
• Childcare: caring, attentive support with our 1-year-old — playing, helping during mealtimes, or joining us on little adventures.
What We Offer
• You’ll stay in your own private home nearby, complete with a kitchen and all essentials for independent living.
• We provide lunch on work days — the rest of your meals are your choice, giving you freedom to cook, explore local spots, or share meals with other travelers.
• On your days off or free afternoons, you can enjoy everything Cambutal has to offer:
- Surf world-class waves
- Snorkel or swim in crystal-clear water
- Ride horses on the beach
- Relax, read, and soak up the peaceful energy of this unique place
The Exchange
We usually ask for about 4–5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week, with flexibility depending on the project. In return, you’ll have your own space, lunch on work days, and plenty of time to enjoy the area and local culture.
Who This Is For
This experience is ideal for people who enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, love nature and the ocean, and feel comfortable living in a remote beach community. It’s a great fit for creative, self-motivated people who appreciate both independence and community connection.

We live in a destination town, there are many travellers from all over the world to meet and mingle with. We can help you learn to surf, teach you some jungle fun facts and ,inspire you to discover the azuero peninsula . If you love nature, you will love our community.
