Description
We are a dairy farm with 140 jersey milking cows, and a beef cow/calf ranch with 300 cows and over 6000 acres of nature! We have 4 staff both part time and full time but are looking for some extra help.

The natural setting of northern BC is a treat to any nature enthusiast with all kinds of outdoor sports and opportunities. We are only 25 minutes from Smithers, a very music and artistic filled town. You’ll have the chance to experience the community and the area while being part of our farm life.

Help
We’re looking for help with farm tasks and are especially interested in people who already have some agriculture experience or are studying in agriculture. That said, if you’re keen to learn, enjoy physical work, and have a real interest in farming, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for agriculture enthusiasts who aren’t afraid of hard work.
Farm work can be physically demanding and days can be long, especially during busy seasons. We are currently looking ahead to next spring (April 2026) for help with seeding and harvesting forage crops. The day-to-day help is mainly in our robotic milking barn and work raising jersey calves. Animal experience is a big plus, but we’re happy to teach if you’re motivated and willing to learn.
We are a friendly family of six running a beef and dairy farm in Northern British Columbia. We’ve had great experiences with au pairs and are excited to welcome farm helpers who want a real, hands-on farm experience and understand that this is genuine farm work.

Accommodation
Accommodation is in a shared three-bedroom house on the farm, with other farm workers who are also travelers. The house has all basic amenities, including heat, electricity (hydro), water, and Wi-Fi. The Kitchen, bathroom, and common areas are shared, creating a welcoming space to connect, share stories, and make friends. Bedding is provided and the room will be ready on arrival, and any additional needs can be discussed in person.
If you have a camper or camper van, let us know in advance so we can discuss alternative accommodation options, such as plugging in or roof cover. The farmhouse is just a 2-minute walk from the main barn, giving you easy access to farm life.

We have a downhill and cross country (as well as backcountry) ski hills within 30 minutes and kilometres of natural forest waiting to be explored!
