Description
UPDATE MAY 2026
Hi Workawayers!
Our Summer 2026 season-team is complete for now! We will start recruiting for next Winter in September - please note the following:
- Winter season starts half December until the end of March / beginning April - we are flexible in start and ending dates
- Speaking Dutch, German and/or English is a minimum requirement, everything else we can teach you :)
Because we receive a bunch of messages on a daily basis, we can't answer all of you personally. Thanks for understanding!

Hi there!
We are Mariëlle (41), Kilian (43) and Kai (6) - a Dutch family living in Austria. We are the managers of a chalet village with 63 Chalets, located in Neukirchen am Großvenediger.
We moved here in 2022, and are enjoying the job of taking care of our guests, keeping up with the administration, doing general maintenance and more. The park is beautifully located, surrounded by mountains, cozy villages and skiing areas.
On our park, you will find a restaurant, green skiing slope, fitness space, a natural swimming pool and more. Also, there are great hiking connections to go to the village of Neukirchen, or to go up into the mountains.
For upcoming seasons we are looking for Workawayers to join our small team.
Preferably a couple, or friends, since we offer a nice apartment to stay as well. We would love to hear from you if you are interested!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Spend time here and enjoy the mountains! We are in the middle of the Hohe Tauern. If you are fond of the mountain life, this is the perfect place to be. From hiking, biking, (cross-country) skiing and (summer)sledding to paragliding and horse riding... Always some fun activity to participate in. The centre of Neukirchen is also a great, vibrant place to visit with many bars and restaurants.
We are surrounded by the following skiing areas: Wildkogel Arena (5 min); Zillertal Arena (25 min) and Kitzski (20 min). So, if you are into winter sports, this would be a great place for you to hang around. The bus connections are pretty good, but bringing your own car would of course be even more convenient. We also have a company car that you might be able to use from time to time.
In summer, you can enjoy a beautiful hike to the Krimml waterfalls, which starts close by. Or you can follow a nice sliding/sledding parcours in the Bramberg area.

Help
We are looking for people to assist us in running the chalet park. The work is mainly focused on the condition and upkeep of the chalets. This includes arrival and departure checks, inspecting and monitoring the cleaning of the chalets, and ensuring everything meets our standards. It also involves checking the cleaning team’s work, maintaining the general areas, and carrying out small repairs when needed.
In the summer, we additionally operate a swimming pool, and throughout the year we offer a bread delivery service (preparing and distributing fresh baked bread rolls).
A strong eye for detail is very important to us. No prior experience is required, but it is essential that you are flexible and willing to learn. We welcome mostly German and Dutch guests. Speaking (one of) these languages would thus be a big pre!
A decent salary + housing will be provided for. Besides that, we ensure to make a warm and close team - so you won't feel alone here :)

Accommodation
For individuals, we have a studio on our park with kitchen and private bathroom. (Currently the studio is not available). For couples (or friends), we can arrange a fully equipped appartment in Wald im Pinzgau - a 5 minute (bus)drive from here.
There is a natural swimming pool and fitness free for use, and in winter we provide you with a seasonal skiing card for The Wildkogel Area. Our village is directly connected to this area through skiing slopes and busses.
What else ...
The natural park Hohe Tauern is in our backyard, nice for hiking and biking.

Our stay with Hillegon and Hugo (and Miles & Kassie) was really a great experience.
They were very friendly and hospitable. Because we worked there for 2 months they let us stay in a really nice cottage with a beautiful view and everything we needed.
