Description
NOT CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR WORKAWAYERS
We live on a lifestyle block where we have an avocado orchard, an area of bush with a stream, some grazing and a large garden. We are 20 minutes from downtown Tauranga, 30 minutes to Mount Maunganui, and a 5 minute drive to bush walks in the beautiful Kaimai ranges
All our children have now left home, and we have both recently taken early retirement. Helpers need to have their own transport in order to enjoy the many activities and great places to visit in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, as we have no local public transport.
We would ideally like a young, fit couple who are willing to work in our large garden. In the event of wet weather we have lots of indoor tasks that will keep you busy as well!
We have both travelled extensively over the years and thoroughly enjoy meeting people from other countries.
You will have your own bedroom and bathroom, but we hope you will join with us to be part of our household during your stay. We are looking for helpers who would like to stay for up to 1 week.

We have travelled to many other countries over the years, and really enjoy meeting people and learning about their country and background. We also volunteer for a local ecological project, removing pests from our native forest, and if you are interested you would be welcome to join us if there is a workday scheduled.
Help
We are looking for helpers who are fit and happy to help in our garden, which can involve some strenuous tasks, including pruning, digging, and clearing weeds. We have plenty of wet weather tasks in the house too, like cleaning those places that we don't get to very often!

Accommodation
Our home has 5 large bedrooms, and you would have your own bedroom and lounge on a separate floor, along with your own bathroom.
We will provide 3 meals a day and if you would like to share your culinary skills on some occasions, that would be lovely! You would need to let us know any dietary requirements in advance.

There are so many great places to visit around the greater Tauranga/Mount Maunganui region, and we would love to share some ideas on where to go if you wish. We have lived here for 26 years, and really enjoy the outdoors, so can help with places to visit and enjoy.
