Description
Hello dear travellers,
My name is Mary, I have also been a workawayer and this program has inspired me in so many ways and helped plant the seed for this project.
This is a future place for creatives and artists to come together and share. We will host workshops and events and help people heal so that they can bring forth the colors of their inner child.
I am a spiritual person who has done some deep dives into self healing and have been called to help others heal as well, hence this project.
Currently, I am still working on getting the esthetic of the house up to where I want it, there are many repairs to be done but mostly what I need is help with painting the exterior.
I am originally from Canada, my parents are Cuban/Peruvian so Spanish is fluent, I have an incredible adopted old dog named Lucho who is basically a big love bear. I used to own a dance studio, and I am a licensed CBT therapist and also work with the therapy.
If this vibes with you, let's have a chat. I'll usually want to have a phone chat before solidifying anything.

I am quite new to the city but have a great network of friends who are involved in the arts and culture in the area. I speak fluent English and Spanish and love to cook. We are aiming to create a coliving space for creative people where they can feel inspired to create!
Help
It needs a LOT of love as it is a 50 year old home, but with the right intention and loving hands, we know we can get it there. There is a long list of to do's but we are currently looking for people who can help with prepping, painting, plant care, cleaning.

I speak fluent English and Spanish and happy to exchange.Accommodation
Bedroom inside the main house with en suite bathroom, AC and queen size bed.
Workawayers will either get their own food (We provide condiments) or contribute portion to groceries. Sometimes we like to cook together and sometimes we eat separately, we go with the flow and keep things easy. We can go to the grocery store together weekly. What else ...
I ask for 4 hours a day, Monday - Thursday and food will be your own expense or you can pitch towards the shop (we can negotiate what works best). I can happily take you to the grocery store and markets, I go once a week and anytime I go out I can take you where you need to go.
There are many shops nearby and the bike path access is very close, I have a bike you can borrow and the bike path to the malecon is very close.A little more information

Space for parking camper vans
There is parking out front on the street and in the gated driveway (there is a height restriction) but can fit most vans and campers.

Depends, Lucho (my dog) is very lonely and would love a friend. He just doesn't do so great with alpha males. Cats are a NO.

A day or so after I arrived I got sick, and she took care of me as only a nurturing feminine presence can. We enjoyed deep conversations over coffee, walks with Lucho on the beach and built a kinship that can only be described as sisterhood.

Mary's Casa is around a 30 min walk to Malecón but close to another beach where we would walk her gorgeous dog Lucho.
The property and the project here is fantastic, Mary has lots of plans for the space here, all of which have been amazing to be a… read more
