We are a non profit organisation created by a group of teachers and families, united in our passion for childhood and human kind, working to make real everyday an educational environment alternative to traditional school for children from 3 up to 11 yeas old where they (and us, adults) we grow as 360* individuals and as a community. Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
if you are interested in education, creating beautiful and natural outside spaces for children this is the place for you. You will be able to experience yourself in an active learning environment with a team of teachers , a group of children and their families.
If you are interested in taking care of natural environment, we have a big piece of land to create a natural and sustainable environment for children: planting trees, creating wooden structures to play, helping us to create an space with hens and rabbits ... Really lots of work and lots of place for your creativity!
You also can learn how beautiful Turin is, you can learn about children (including your inner child!) , about how adults work together to make the world a better place.

Help
We are looking for someone that lives in the project facilities
He/she will be helping in the project from Monday to Friday: gardening, cleaning, fixing and whatever necessary to maintain the educacional environment in good conditions for children. There are also some specifical duties as opening and closing the entrance during the begining and end of activities, babysitting in meeting occasions and before school starts.
We are also willing to share with you some school activities. You can observe our activities based on active pedagogy , democratic education, self directed learning, emotional support, outdoor education... And also share with us your particular skills like languages, art, sports and who knows!!
As you will be in an educational project living among children, we are looking for someone interested in respectful education. Taking care of the emotional aspects of relationship acting as a comforting and security inspiring adult is central in our work among children

Accommodation
You will have your own room and bathroom in the projet facilities, also a little kitchen where you can cook your meals by your own.
The people in the projet provide the necessary for nutritional needs.
The project is 30 min by car from Turín city center, 10 min from a small city called Chieri, in a village called Pavarolo. The environment is natural and beautiful but the public transport is quite a disaster! You will live less isolated If you have a moto/car licence.
Anyway, you will find a real network of people (around 30 families and 10 teachers ) who can host you in the weekend in Turin, give you a ride and help you in your "Piemonte experience"

we had already 8 workawayers with different profiles and different duties in the project... I think they had a great time!
Our headquarters and in consequence your accommodation during these years have changed. The accomodation now is in the facilities of the project. Notice the oldest reviews refers to a family house accomodation that now host Workawayers for a different family centered help.
