    Description

    Hello Workawayers,

we are a young German couple who recently started building our dream house in the Dominican Republic. Since we will soon be returning to Germany for work and studies, we are looking for someone reliable to take care of our house, our garden and to keep an eye on everything while we are away.

Our place is a modern bungalow of about 100 m², surrounded by a spacious garden on a 1300 m² property. We love the simple and natural style of living here – with lots of sun, fresh air and space for creativity. In the garden we are creating cozy areas to relax, like a small lounge and barbecue spot. There is always something to do, but also plenty of time to enjoy the peace and beauty of the surroundings.

We live close to Las Galeras/Samana, an area known for its friendly people, Caribbean beaches, and lively culture. The area is great for outdoor activities such as hiking or simply exploring local markets and Dominican daily life.

We love sharing our project with others and believe it’s a wonderful opportunity for Workawayers who enjoy nature, gardening and helping to maintain a special place. If you like to take responsibility, enjoy living close to the sea and want to experience authentic Dominican life, you will feel at home here.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our project!

    Warm greetings,
    Nico & Lina

Staying at our place offers you the chance to experience authentic Dominican life in a local neighborhood while being part of our small house and garden project. You’ll get to know the warm hospitality of the people here, enjoy the vibrant local markets, music, and food culture, and explore beautiful beaches and nature nearby.

  • Help

    Help

Your main tasks will be to take care of the garden (watering, basic maintenance, keeping things tidy) and to look after the house when we are not around. It’s not hard work, but it’s important for us to know that everything is in good hands. Sometimes there may be small projects like improving the outdoor area, helping with creative ideas for the lounge or BBQ place, or simple repairs.

If you enjoy gardening, DIY projects and being outdoors, this will be a perfect fit.

While we are in Germany, the whole house will be yours to enjoy. Our modern bungalow has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious terrace with a fully equipped kitchen. The house is completely new and located on a closed property, offering privacy, security, and lots of space.

You will have the entire home to yourself, so you can feel completely free and comfortable. For exploring the area, we can also provide a motorcycle (with a valid driver’s license and a small deposit).

It’s the perfect place to combine peaceful living with the chance to experience the vibrant Dominican culture around you.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The work here is very relaxed and not time-consuming – mainly making sure the house and garden are well looked after. Besides that, we have a little baby cat who just needs to be fed once a day. She is very sweet and easy to care for.

This makes it a great opportunity if you are looking for a calm place to stay, enjoy nature and want some responsibility without heavy tasks.
