  Description

  We are a family of 5 people, father, mother and 3 daughters of 23, 15 and 10 years old. The 23-year-old already lives in Madrid and comes only 3/4 times a year. My husband has a restaurant and I am also self-employed (and looking for another permanent job) and since we are Italians living in the Canary Islands and do not have a family, we need a person to take care of at least the little daughter in the afternoon, who help her with her schoolwork, accompany her to play sports and do something creative with her, because we don't want her to use technology. Furthermore, we would like this person to always speak English with the girls. We also have 2 cats, who are our furry loves. We live in an 85 mq apartment, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen and a very large roof terrace, which has not yet been renovated, but where we barbecue, hang out and sunbathe. We like to cook, go on excursions and picnics, meet new people, learn and get to know cultures and life in the Canary Islands offers us a lot of outdoor life (beach, mountains, caves, hiking, camping). I am Sara, the mother, and I have a lot of passions: sewing, embroidering, reading, recycling, making crafts, taking photos, organizing excursions and more. For us, ecology and savings are very important, not wasting food or water and collaborating in household chores. We also believe in a respectful education, without punishments or rewards, with communication and empathy.
  
  
  Somos una familia de 5 personas, padre, madre y 3 hijas de 23, 15 y 10 años. La de 23 ya vive en Madrid y viene solo 3/4 veces al año. Mi marido tiene un restaurante y yo también soy autónoma (y en búsqueda de otro trabajo fijo) y cómo que somos italianos residentes en Canarias y no tenemos familia, necesitamos a una persona que cuide al menos de la hija pequeña en horario de tarde, que le ayude en las tareas del colegio, le acompañe a hacer deporte y haga algo creativo con ella, porque no queremos que use la tecnología. Además nos gustaría que esta persona hablara siempre inglés con las niñas.
  Tenemos también 2 gatos, que son nuestros amores peludos.
  Vivimos en un apartamento de 85 mq, con 3 habitaciones, 2 baños, salón y cocina y una azotea muy grande, que todavía no está reformada, pero donde hacemos barbacoa, tendemos y se puede tomar el sol.
  Nos gusta cocinar, hacer excursiones y picnics, conocer a gente nueva, aprender y conocer culturas y la vida en Canarias nos ofrece mucha vida al aire libre (playa, montaña, cuevas, senderismo, acampadas).
  Yo soy Sara, la mamá, y tengo un montón de pasiones: coser, bordar, leer, reciclar, hacer manualidades, sacar fotos, organizar excursiones y más.
  
  Para nosotros son muy importantes ecología y ahorro, no desperdiciar comida o agua y colaborar en las tareas domésticas. Además creemos en una educación respetuosa, sin castigos ni premios, con comunicación y empatía.

  We can teach Italian and Spanish, make the island (Gran Canaria) known, teach healthy Italian cooking, sourdough bread, crafts (creative sewing, hand embroidery, recycling, etc.) and everything that is my job. Doula (motherhood, positive parenting, breastfeeding, babywearing, infant sleep).
  
  Nosotros podemos enseñar italiano y español, dar a conocer la isla (Gran Canaria), enseñar a cocinar italiano, saludable, pan con masa madre, a hacer manualidades (costura creativa, bordado a mano, reciclaje etc) y todo lo que es mi trabajo de Doula (maternidad, crianza positiva, lactancia materna, babywearing, sueño infantil).

  Help

  We need a girl who, since April or May, will take care of at least the little daughter in the afternoon (from 5 p.m. to bedtime 9/9:30 p.m.), who will help her with her schoolwork, accompany her to play sports and do something creative with her, because we don't want her to use technology. Clearly prepare some dinner for the two girls. Also, very important, that this person always speaks English with the girls.
  
  Necesitamos a una chica que, desde el mes de abril o mayo, cuide al menos de la hija pequeña en horario de tarde (de las 17/18 a la hora de dormir 21/21.30), que le ayude en las tareas del colegio, le acompañe a hacer deporte y haga algo creativo con ella, porque no queremos que use la tecnología. Claramente que prepare algo de cena para las dos niñas mientras prepara la suya.
  Además, muy importante, que esta persona hable siempre inglés con las niñas.

  Somos de lingua materna italiana, pero ya aprendimos muy bien Español, mi segunda hija y mi marido hablan bastante inglés. Nos gustaría aprender mejor el inglés, sobre todo que aprendan bien las niñas.

  Accommodation

  We have my first daughter's room free, with a 140 cm bed, part of the wardrobe and some drawers, a chair and a desk (it doesn't have a window, like the girls' room, because it is very common in the Canary Islands). The bathroom is shared with me and the girls (my husband has his own). I would like it to stay in order, I usually take care of putting on the washing machine and cleaning, but sometimes I may ask for help around the house. We can also offer 1 meal a day, for example when I am at home and can cook and teach.
  
  Tenemos libre la habitación de mi primera hija, con una cama de 140 cm, una parte del ropero y algunos cajones, una silla y un escritorio (no tiene ventana, como la habitación de las niñas, porque en Canarias es muy común). El baño se comparte conmigo y las niñas (mi marido tiene el suyo). Me gustaría que se mantuviera en orden, yo suelo ocuparme de poner la lavadora y limpiar, pero puede que a veces pida colaboración en la casa.
  Además podemos ofrecer 1 comida diaria, por ejemplo cuando estoy en casa y puedo cocinar y enseñar.

  What else ...

  We have a very convenient bus stop 20 meters from home. We are 40 minutes from the capital (Las Palmas) and another 40/50 (with a car it is less) from the southern beaches or 10 minutes from the nearest beach. There are parks, museums, activities of all kinds (surfing, gym, libraries and more) and on weekends we always go somewhere nice to spend the day.
  
  Tenemos la parada de la guagua muy comoda a 20 metros de casa. Estamos a 40 minutos de la capital (Las Palmas) y otros 40/50 (con coche son menos) de las playas del sur o a 10 minutos de la playa más cercana. Hay parques, museos, actividades de todos tipos (surf, gimnasio, bibliotecas y más) y los fin de semana solemos siempre ir a algún sitio bonito para pasar el día.
