I stayed with Audrey and Malik for about six weeks in June and July. They are very accommodating, they try their best to make you feel confortable, to include you in their family and their lives, but at the same time to leave you your freedom. Despite me not knowing french very well they were always very patient with me and did their best to talk
… read more to me and make me understand. They really don't need much help, they need you to walk the little dog June a few times a day and to entertain their dauther for a few hours in the evening; both of those task I found very enjoyable. Evian is a lovely little town, quite lively thanks to the turists; I fell in love with the lake which is absolutly beautifull, every day as soon I woke up i couldn't wait to go out and take in the sceneries.You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

je suis restée cinq semaines avec audrey et séléna et elles m‘ont toute suite accepté dans leur famille! … read more maison, c‘étais jamais ennuyant. elle est une fille trés adorable. elle a pleeeine d‘energie et pleine d‘idées quoi faire. et c‘étais aussi ok si j‘avais besoin de temps pour moi.
Et aussi j‘ai amelioré mon français parce que audrey parler français clairement et compréhensible.

I stayed with Audrey and Séléna for about 6 weeks from October til December. It feels like longer when I think about the impact it has had on me, living in Évian with the two of them. Séléna is an incredibly sweet and funny girl who welcomed me very well, even though I couldn't speak French very good.

… read more is a very hospitable, funny and nice person. She was incredibly good at speaking clearly and slowly to me, and she is definitely a big factor in me improving my French quite a bit.
My work was minimal and easy. I had a lot of free time, where I easily could have had another job, but I used it on outings to nearby cities, hikes, walks and french lessons. The apartment was located in the center of Évian-les-Bains, which is a small city with shops and cafés, and best of all; the mountains and lake Leman. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to be.
It is safe to say, I would recommend this to anyone!
Je suis resté avec Audrey et Séléna pendant environ 6 semaines d'octobre à décembre. J'ai l'impression que je pense plus longtemps quand je pense à l'impact que cela a eu sur moi, en vivant à Évian avec les deux. Séléna est une fille incroyablement douce et drôle qui m'a très bien accueillie, même si je ne parlais pas très bien français.
Je ne peux que dire de bonnes choses à propos d'Audrey. C'est une personne très hospitalière, drôle et gentille. Elle était incroyablement douée pour me parler clairement et lentement, et elle est certainement un facteur important pour que j'améliore un peu mon français.
Mon travail était minimal et facile. J'ai eu beaucoup de temps libre, où j'aurais facilement pu avoir un autre emploi, mais je l'ai utilisé lors de sorties dans les villes voisines, de randonnées, de promenades et de cours de français. L'appartement était situé dans le centre d'Évian-les-Bains, qui est une petite ville avec des magasins et des cafés, et le meilleur de tous, les montagnes et le lac Leman. Un endroit si beau et paisible pour être.

Sono stata a casa di Audrey da Dicembre a metà Febbraio. Questa è stata la mia prima esperienza di Workaway e posso dire che è stata fantastica. Audrey, Malik e la piccola Selena sono stati veramente gentili e accoglienti, mi hanno fatto sentire parte della famiglia.

… read more da nomade digitale. Selena è una bambina vivace, piena di energia e se sai come prenderla diventa una grande compagna di giochi e ti ascolta. Le attività principali sono stati di affiancamento nella gestione della famiglia e della casa. La mattina portavo fuori la cagnolina June e mentre lavoravo mi faceva compagnia il gatto Minouche.
Non mi hanno mai fatta sentire di troppo, non mi hanno fatto mancare niente. Posso dire che come prima esperienza Workaway mi sento veramente fortunata e grata per aver incontrato questa meravigliosa famiglia.
J'ai séjourné chez Audrey de décembre à mi-février avec un petit pause. C'était ma première expérience Workaway et je peux dire que c'était incroyable. Audrey, Malik et la petite Séléna étaient vraiment gentils et accueillants, ils m'ont fait sentir que je faisais partie de la famille.
Audrey a été si patiente avec moi et mes besoins de nomade digitale. Selena est une petite fille vive, pleine d'énergie et elle est une excellente camarade de jeu.. Les principales activités étaient le soutien à la gestion de la famille et de la maison. Le matin, j'ai sorti la chienne June et pendant que je travaillais, le fière chat Minouche m'a tenu compagnie.
