    Description

Hi, we are Florian, Marta and Naomi, a multicultural family who settled in Brittany after traveling the world for about 10 years. From french and polish origins we have lived in many countries that made us who we are now.

We are in the process of creating a self sustainable micro-community, focused on close to nature low impact living. A very important criteria for us to choose a workawayer, more than skills and knowledge is that we share the same values. Respect, honesty, open-mindedness, non violence, these are very basic principles that we live by everyday and wish that you share as well if you come to stay with us. We don't accept people displaying any form of racism, sexism, bigotry or any other type of discrimination.

Where we live is an incredibly pretty natural area, famous for it's coastline, beaches and water sports spots. the weather is never hot nor cold, and we can grow food all year round. It is a rural area, it has all the shops, cafes and other things you might need, but it is no city, in the summer it tends to be very busy with tourists and events, and in the winter it can feel quite isolated. You need to like active countryside life mainly spent outdoors. There are two bigger cities about an hour away but we basically never go there, there is a very cheap daily bus connection to get there.

We would like to host you if have some knowledge or interest in permaculture. We are not experts and we do with what we have so we are happy to teach and learn.

Like you now, we have been on the other side of this website for many years ,volunteering on many projects, we know what it feels like to be a workakwayer. The type of work we offer is not especially difficult or challenging, we're not looking for an unpaid slave, but neither are we looking for a freeloader.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our home is a big cultural mix, we sleep on futons, drink mate, listen to celtic music, eat barszcz and communicate in English.

We can share a lot about our experiences from different cultures and introduce you to the local Bretton one.

We love receiving people from other cultures to learn about other ways of seeing the world and change our perspective.

If you are specifically coming to learn about french culture and french language, our place might nor be the best for you as we do not speak french at home whatsoever.

There are plenty of things to do during your free time you can borrow our bicycles, surfboards, kites or other things we have in the garage and go and explore the area.

  • Help

    Help

You'll mostly be helping us on our land where we grow fruits and vegetables following permaculture principles. You can be asked to help with budling some things, a hand in the kitchen or any other things that we do on a daily basis.

We don't count hours, some days might be more relaxed and others busier. We generally tend together to work in the afternoon and days off are up to you to choose.
