Description
We are a married retired couple with a grown-up son and daughter We live in the village of Dornie, across the road is Eilean Donan Castle (the one in Highlander the movie was made in 1986 ) Our home is an old croft house on the shore of a sea loch in the West Highlands of Scotland. The castle is one of the most photographed castles in the world. Something to consider before travelling is that we are 200 miles (5-6 hours) North of Glasgow, and 75 miles (2 hours) West from Inverness, the journey is long but the scenery is spectacular, We need help in the garden and often our historic wooden boat. We recycle old materials wherever possible and have to work to budget as no profit is made from these activities. Most of the tasks are outdoors, the weather can be very bad at any time of year so flexibility with volunteering hours is required. We don't have any dogs or cats, but we do have Chickens .

We don't normally cater for vegetarians, most of our meals include meat, however, breakfast is usually porridge with fruit and if those with special diets are able to prepare most of their own meals it should not be a problem.
Just a reminder that June, July and August can be wet and midges can be a problem this time of year. So please take this into account, a good repellent would be a good item to bring with you.
