Description
We have been living in our wooden house, which is idyllically located in the forest, since 2018. The village center is 5 km away and easy to reach by car or bike. We love spending time with our animals and designing the garden according to the permaculture principle. We have a cat, two mini pigs, rabbits and chickens.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are originally from Germany, but have lived in Norway for several years, so we can give visitors insights into German and Norwegian culture. Our motto is “learning by doing” and always keeping the fun of learning and developing in mind. With us there is a lot for travelers to discover and learn, as well as plenty of peace and nature to relax in.
Help
There is always something to do around the house and in the garden. We have smaller and larger construction projects that are being worked on. We can also use help around the house and with processing the freshly harvested vegetables. We welcome anyone who wants to get involved, regardless of whether they have little experience or a lot of experience.
We need help with…
- Craft activities (building, renovating)
- Painting walls etc.
- Gardening
- Household (cleaning, cooking)
- Taking care of animals, clean the stable
- Artistic projects

Workawayers live in their own cozy cabin, which is separate from the main house. The cabin has 1 bedroom (2 people), living room with sofa bed (2 people), simply furnished kitchen and simple bathroom (with combustion toilet). There is also a terrace with wonderful views. There is electricity, heating and a wood stove in the hut. There is no running water. Water must be fetched in canisters from the main house. The bathroom in the main house can be used for showering.
We are a private homestead and Workawayers won't be helping with any tasks relating to business.
We expect at least 3-4 working hours per day (5 days per week) with 1 warm meal together per day (vegetarian).
By arrangement, 3 meals per day are also possible in exchange for more working hours.
Generally, cooking is done together, but can also be handled flexibly depending on the agreement. What else ...
