Description
Hi, we live and work in Borgvattnet. A small village almost in the centre of Sweden with just under 70 residents. We are born and raised in the Netherlands and moved here in 2013. 3 years ago we bought a abandoned farm with 20 ha of forest. 2 years ago we started renovating one of the old timber houses. We love it here, it's a lot of work, but the nature at your doorstep, the clean air and the variaty of the things to do make it a great place to be.

We also run the (only) village shop/supermarket and have a B&B. This is the prefect place to meet the locals. We have regular shared reading sessions and other local events like, showing movies, dinners... During the summer many international quests pass through the village (on bicycle or on foot). Borgvattnet is on the 'Europeran divide trail'. Some of our residents come from abroad and they are also hosts to Workawayers.

This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We would like to get help with painting and fixing up the farm barn and with clearing out some parts of the forest. Also we would like to start with having pigs and chickens. This means building a shelter for them en putting up fences.

We offer a room suitable for 2 persons with a private toilet and shower. We have broadband internet including wifi. The kitchen will be shared with us. We offer 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and evening diner) and the occasional 'inbetween snacks' daily. We assume to share our evening meals together with the workawayer(s).
What else ...
If you love nature, like to spent time outdoors then this is the place to be. The largest city is Östersund. It takes about 1.5 hours to get there by car. Östersund has a good train connection with the rest of Sweden and also has a airport.
