    Description

We live 5 km (3 miles) from the city centre in a lovely quiet semi-rural area. We often have wallabies grazing in our backyard.

We are a happily married couple with two primary school aged children. Paul is originally from Reno, Nevada, USA but has been in Australia for the last 18 years.

The accommodation is a fully self contained unit with a Queen bed (a single mattress is available upon request) and private bathroom and your own kitchen. Your living area will need to be kept clean and tidy is it doubles as a home office where clients visit daily. Non smokers only and no alcohol may be consumed at home.

Room only is 3 hours of work per day, 5 days per week
Room and set menu of food is 4 hours of work per day, 6 days per week
Please let us know which option you are choosing.

We would love you to teach us about where you are from and if English is not your native language perhaps teach a couple of words in your native language. We are happy to practice your English with you, if you need assistance with this.

There are a variety of options for work. Deep cleaning, general household chores, organising, painting, gardening, vegie patch, child minding, computer work including data entry and website, walking the dogs. Please contact us for more detailed information.

We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 goat, 6 chickens and 3 sheep, so you need to be ok with animals.

Pip runs group fitness classes in Devonport. You are welcome to attend all classes that Pip teaches for free during your stay. These classes include pilates, high intensity and cycling classes.

Pip loves to run and ride her bike. Paul loves to ride his road bikes. You are most welcome to join us in these activities.

Once every month Pip travels to Hobart and you are welcome to join her for this day trip.

We are Christians who regularly attend church and share a daily family devotion together at dinner time. You are most welcome to join in these activities with us.

We live a 5 minute walk away from the Don River Railway Steam Trains.
We live a 5 minute walk away from the cycle walk path that you can take all the way to the beach (about 5km).
We live less than 10 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania terminal which is the boat that travels between Melbourne and Devonport.
There is limited public transport. We regularly go into town and you are most welcome to grab a ride with us, otherwise you can walk or maybe borrow a bike to ride.

We love hiking and there are quite a few great hikes nearby that if you were keen you could join our family in doing. Cradle Mountain is 1 ½ hours drive away and we love visiting local national parks in the area.

Any guests will need to be able to work independently on allocated work.
