    Description

I'm a Yoga Teacher, living 5km from a small town , Killorglin in South West Ireland. I teach Yoga locally, but live in a small , recently built 2 bedroom logcabin with outdoor space to develop. I live close to family, neighbours & I'm hoping to develop a garden, decorate the Cabin but have no real gardening experience or DIY skills but enthusiasm and a love of Colour & flowers/plants, bee friendly & native a priority! Eveything mostly trial & lots of error....I like the idea of being creative & experimental rather than carefully curated.

I've a dog, an exuberant, friendly, handsome collie called Rexy....you'll have to Love him, he doesn't take no for an answer! He's independent and floats about between my cabin & my Brothers house, my Cabin is Located in his Large Field at back of his house. It has a little Veranda with great views of The Reeks....( local Maguillacuddy reeks)

So, just some help with decorating in the Cabin interior & doing something with the outdoor space is what I'm about, it's a blank canvas pretty much.. although I have ideas..any input appreciated. I'll provide a small double room, shared bathroom , living space & 1 main meal dinner per day. Please sort own Bfast/Lunch.. we can share cooking...1 week minimum please. Welcome to attend any Yoga Classes I teach that have space in them & support/advice around Yoga. There are Lakes, beaches, mountains all nearby, a car driver handy...I live a mile off the famous Ring of Kerry, so an ideal location for exploring. It's a peacful enough location & laid back...if your looking for wild nights out, it's not going to be your thing! Unless star gazing is. Theres a great mobile wooden Sauna at nearest Beach , 7km away, Cromane an almost weekly ritual.

If you don't drive, 5km is nearest town which has daily buses to Tralee or Killarney & beyond, but from cabin no public transport. Also, Kerry Airport 30 mins drive away as is Killarney & Tralee 40 mins. ⁴è

    Help

Help in developing a biodiverse low maintenance wild & free garden, clearing, maintenance in general, some clearing of sheds, trips to the local Dump, painting of cabin and helping me create & develop my first ever home at 51! Skills with tools would be great....as I'm useless with a hammer, drill or spirit level.

I used to live in South America and although I have forgotten most of it as rarely practice my Spanish now..it is still there somewhere waiting to come out! I'm also trying to relearn Irish & hopefully will improve slowly! I used to teach English as a second Language so happy to help any guests improve theirs.

    Accommodation

You will have own double bedroom, shared bathroom, Kitchen etc. We might cook together if schedule allows..certain items will always be provided, milk, bread, cofee/tea & whatever we feel like for dinner, I eat fish, but not meat. Lots of veggie dishes....on the menu. I teach in the evenings, mornings, so don't always eat at set times. Prefer if guest sorts & sources own bfast/Lunch.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I live in a very scenic area, 5km from nearest town, close to several beaches, mountains, Lakes, great for hiking, cyclying, kayaking, rock climbing, a car is essential really if you want to explore or a bike, I can lend mine, but public transport a bit rubbish. Hitchhiking can be done, if up for it.

I'm pretty active, love to swim & sauna weekly at local beach, I go out when something good on, have a caravan & travel a bit in Summer, I lead a fairly relaxed lifestyle and do not like drama, chaos or too much crazy!! Happy to show you the area if time & give tips....

My home is cosy, not luxury, lovely location, peacful & laidback. You will need to enjoy the quite life if come here & talking to Rexy the dog....

I have decent Wifi...The Guest will have their own bedroom so can work in there. When I'm home I will be in the Shared kitchen/living space and do my own admin from there. I'm in/out in the day as have a set schedule for teaching but it's not a 9-5 type of lifestyle I lead....but any guest will have time alone to work on own projects as well as with me....we can suppprt each other for sure. Although most of my work is inperson...

    Can possibly accept pets

I have a VERY happy laid back dog, Rexy who loves everyone including other dogs! But....I'm not sure 2 pets in the Cabin ideal. Also I live amongst farm animals, cows & horses often in same field as the Cabin which many pets might chase. Hence have to be real careful if one has a pet.
