    Description

Located in the Amazon region of Zamora, near the Bombuscaro River and Podocarpus National Park, we are transforming half a hectare of secondary forest into a food forest, alongside four hectares of pristine, fully preserved forest.

This project was born with the purpose of planting fruit trees, squash, and sustainable crops to achieve self-sufficiency and, above all, to share food with the abundant wildlife that surrounds us: monkeys, agoutis, armadillos, coatis, and native birds that inhabit the area. The soil is rich in silica minerals that enhance the local medicinal plants, and we have a natural spring of pure rock water from which we can drink directly.

We are looking for independent and practical volunteers who love the outdoors, respect the environment, and want to help us bring this space to life from the ground up.

Practical Agroforestry: You will learn firsthand how to start and design a food forest, caring for the soil and making the most of natural terraces.

Natural Medicine and Botany: You will learn firsthand about the cultivation of native medicinal plants (such as cascarilla, cat's claw, and guaviduca) and how they thrive thanks to the rich mineral content of the soil.

Conservation and Ancestral Environment: You will live alongside a 4-hectare virgin forest dedicated to complete conservation and work on terraces with local historical significance.

Sustainable Living: You will learn about clean energy management with solar panels, the responsible use of resources, and the value of drinking pure water directly from a natural spring filtered through silica rocks.

Exchange and culture: If you come from another country, it is the perfect place to practice your Spanish in a relaxed and everyday environment, sharing daily life and getting to know real life in the Zamora region.

    -
